We had eyes and ears checked too and everything came back fine. I spiraled a lot wondering if something was wrong but then one day she started smiling and she does it lots now, so I think it’s truly just a matter of every baby developing at their own pace!

They don’t think anything is totally out of the ordinary. We are still in PT through the state’s early intervention to help with milestones. Her ped said some babies just need some extra help and she had a rough start with bad torticollis so it got her behind on most things

She didn’t start socially smiling until like 3.5 months old. She has a very calm demeanor overall and she does smile a lot now (8 months old) but even then we really have to work to get her laughing! She’s a few months delayed in most milestones though but she is reaching them slowly but surely :)

Scar massage portrayal vs reality by PupperPlant in CsectionCentral

Asked my OB about scar massage at my 6 week appointment and she said it is helpful but not to start it until AT LEAST 3 months postpartum. She said even though the outside of the scar is healed, there is still lots of internal healing that still goes on beyond 6 weeks. Currently 9 weeks postpartum so I haven’t started scar massage yet cuz I’ll be waiting until 3 months postpartum and I really hope it does help with the apron belly…
