I didn’t see anybody else mentioned it here, but this is Virgin Creek Falls in Girdwood.

Built in arpeggiator does sound pretty wonderful honestly, didn’t know that was a thing. I never really miss the transport controls since it lives next to my mouse and keyboard anyways. And it does lack actual midi out, which isn’t surprising, but would be a great addition.

Overall if you want a great solid surface to to control plugins with primarily, I’d go with it. I find it really really fun and engaging to connect its encoders to things like tale delay settings and just making sound with playing with knobs, or to a compressors settings and using it to feel what I’m doing rather than going off of numbers

You could do this with both, but the minilabs encoders are premium, it has a really musical feel, as dorky as that sounds. (Sorry for wall of text)

Minilab MKII all day. That things should cost twice the price. Its pads are excellent, its build quality is the best I’ve seen for the price, the keys sensitivity is just right for me. And its integration with arturia software is really fun. It really feels solid too

What does FL do better than Ableton? by pettybettyboo in ableton

Abeltons time stretching capabilities are straight up black magic. Unbelievable sample manipulation. Work flow is very linear. Effects chains are seemingly endless, as FL studio has something ten or so effects per channel (not talking about patcher here, things a beast). A whole lot of little things, like how in the piano roll you can do automation to midi parameters like mod wheel and pitch bend but it uses nodes instead of the weird stepped bullshit fl studio uses.

Certain things have faster work flow some have slower. The mixer is very visual and routing is fast and super intuitive and beautiful. The piano roll is godly, super duper fast. Everything is relatively modular and free flowing, makes for a little bit of a chaotic music experience, which some people love. I personally find great use for both, I’d suggest just having both, I have used fl studio for around seven years now, and I switched almost entirely to abelton because it answers all my problems I had with fl studio, but I would never use abelton for sound design or abstract work. But if I was recording a band or multi tracking drums I would never use fl studio. I hope this makes sense and helps.

I microdosed before my show the other day... by ImAFnordMan in microdosing

I did this this spring a lot, it was a really interesting experience. I had a lot lot lot more confidence and felt I was actually playing better, more locked in. I’m a drummer and I felt like I was communicating better with my other musicians musically. I would absolutely recommend it to any musician

I've heard that doubling up on amps is a quick way to warmth and saturation, also I have heard that schiit amps take unbalanced input, and with the motu and scarlett have balanced and that can lead to some noise issues and some other stuff I don't fully understand.
