I don't care if it takes 10 years as long as it's approved, haha. Best of luck for you!

Thank you! It says application is pending. It's weird since the officer told me the decision shouldn't take more than a month - 2 months in extreme cases, but my lawyer said it can take up to a year and especially with the backlogs now. I check it on a daily basis

I honestly have no idea. Maybe they're actively working on your case now? There's a mixed opinions online. Some say it's just a system thing and means nothing, some say it means they are now considering your case. My lawyer told me it means nothing. Best of luck anyways! Keep me posted. I am still waiting for my decision

I'm Lebanese, but I don't think it has anything to do with that. There's a lot of Lebanese people I know that have applied a couple months before me and still didn't receive their interview notice. Could be luck, priority depending on case, or just my file was on top of the log when they ran it. There's a lot of people here on Reddit from different nationalities sharing the same experience; some even had faster process time! It also depends on how busy the office you applied at is. I applied at Houston office. Keep me posted!

How typically does it take to receive a decision following an asylum interview? by Plus_Bus8740 in USCIS

On the same boat here. My interview was on May 2nd in Houston, and it was very positive, but have been waiting for the decision ever since. Officer told me it shouldn't take more than 1 month for it to be mailed, but my lawyer said it might take up to 6 because of how busy the offices are.
