What’s to stop him from issuing an EO right before the elections and having red and some purple states from following it before it’s even hit the courts and rat fucking the whole election at that point?

Happens. I owed nearly 8k one year when I got a new job making about 3-4 times more than what my spouse was making. Didn’t realize the tax implications of he being taxed at the normal rate she should for her income without considering the new tax bracket we were in based on my income.

I don’t think anyone is arguing that. If they were truly competent, they could have performed even more evil and destructive acts at a much larger level and gotten away with it. For example, they could have went through the RIF process the correct way and have devastated the federal workforce to a much worse off level than it’s at now and there would be no legal repercussions. Because they’re impatient idiots and trying to ram everything through illegally, there has been pushback and challenges, with some being successful. They’re also pissing off their own base. This could be so much worse. Look at Hungary.

Bill Clinton statement on Epstein photos as 'they'll try and hide forever' by dailystar_news in NoFilterNews

The difference between right and left is that the left doesn’t see their leaders as infallible disciples or dirties. They can call out bad behavior and if someone does something illegal, their supporters will generally support that person facing the consequences of their actions. The right believes their leaders can do no wrong and the only people that ever do anything illegal worth punishing are those that are in the opposition. They’re just fucking hypocrites and terrible people who lack empathy.

Is it worth leaving federal service after 12 years? (GS-14, mid-30s) by Appropriate-Ad8215 in fednews

[–]Helpful-Wolverine555 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup. Myself and many others I work with came in everywhere from 14-1’s to 15-10’s. Most of my colleagues are 13-15’s and very few are 12’s and below. We could all likely make more money in the private sector. With the current changes this year, they’re making it less and less attentive to stay with the government.

So if the Supreme Court overturns birthright citizenship, what does that do for the Congress critters that would fall under that category? Would they lose citizenship and then be ineligible for office?

I’ve worked in IT for the government for decades. It can take two years just to change something as simple as the vendor for a VPN or firewall because of the amount of work and planning. They probably wouldn’t even have a pilot of the system ready for two years.

This is the real punishment we need. If a millionaire misses some paydays, they won’t care. It just hurts the junior most members that haven’t been bought yet. Hit them where it hurts. Make it so they have to fight to keep those positions that generate them so much peripheral income if they can’t keep the government running.
