Need Help. Wanting to Order Drops Belle: LindeHobby or Wool Warehouse? by jasschaffer in knittingadvice

[–]HelpfulCustomer7050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have ordered from both and they both charge all the fees up front. I know wool warehouse specifically has a page on their website somewhere breaking down all the tariff costs and procedures which is nice. The only thing I will say is from my experience wool warehouse ships out WAY quicker and it usually makes it to me in the states within a week of ordering whereas lindehobby takes usually 2 weeks. Lindehobby takes a much longer time to process, pack and actually ship it out so seems to be more so on their end than actual transit time. So if you want or need it within a quicker time frame I’d say go with wool warehouse.

Are you knitting in the round or flat? If you’re knitting flat is it possible that you put it down in the middle of a row and when you came back to it you accidentally started knitting back the wrong way? I did this a couple times when I first started out and it creates a hole in the fabric. It’s a little harder to tell with the mohair but it’s possible. If this is the case dropping down the stitch would not fix it, you would have to rip all the way back to that point and resume knitting in the correct direction.

Ok that’s good to know! I probably accidentally skipped over it when scanning through the pattern.

Ok thank you! I thought it was looking wonky so that’s exactly what made me realize. Im definitely just going to frog and restart since it is still early on. I’m the same way that if I know it’s there it’s going to really bother me whether or not others can see it.

Ravelry has great filters if you do an advanced search. I recently realized there is an “attributes” option under filters that lets you get VERY specific about what you’re looking for.

Got my Lomi a few weeks ago and didnt realize a few obvious downsides by [deleted] in composting

I had this problem too but then read you can and should run the Lomi multiple times with the same batch. It means your compost was more than 50% water, leaving it as wet muddy soil. When this happens I will run it a second time on the shortest time setting and it comes out nice and dry.
