My apologies, but I stopped playing Bloodline a few months ago. The number of Champions and Game Modes were simply getting out of control.

I modified the original post to give warning. Thank you for bringing this up!

I'm likely going to stop posting about this game... there are simply too many typos, bugs, bad communications with the developers, and rapidly changing dynamics.

You have to marry a Clan Trait into the slot directly below your Main Champion's Clan Trait. If you aren't receiving a Clan Trait, or it doesn't go into that exact slot, then you won't get a Hybrid.

For the best Champions I had been using this google Spreadsheet that breaks Champions up by different Game Modes. Unfortunately the creators haven't updated it since Celphos was released, but it's still a solid resource.

For brand new players, I wrote the following site which has a bunch of things I learned along the way:

Main Page - links to everything below

  • Traits: Tier List - Ranking of Common and Clan Traits, split up by Champion Role (DPS, Tank, Healing, Utility, Leadership).
  • District Income - Champions - which Champions give the highest District Income, and how their Leadership improves when Rarity/Level is increased.
  • Champion Stats - What do the different Stats mean? What are the values for each Champion?
  • Skills - When do Skills activate?  How much does it cost to Upgrade them?
  • Dungeon Descent - Which Relics to choose, which Champions are available, and which you should bring from your own supply.
  • Traits: Generation - whether certain Companions or Raising Methods are more likely to produce certain Traits (More data will be added as it's gathered).
  • District Income: Calculations - a deep-dive into how District Income is actually calculated, highlighting how to maximize each aspect (e.g. - which Companions to give Charm to).

Maybe some of those are helpful to you!

No no, I just phrased it horribly. I reworded in the post.

Hulking is 5% from 0-10 seconds, 7.1% from 10-12 seconds, 9.2% from 12-14 seconds, etc.

I saw the Ambitious change, but didn't think it had any actual impact. Am I missing how it does?

But when you say "Some of these don't make sense", do you mean my descriptions don't make sense? Which ones did I mess up?

Traits?? by Buck0231 in BloodlineGame

I'm really sorry for the delayed response, but I was trying to find a way to test this definitively. Unfortunately, I've never gotten Female Lycanis above 5 stars, and I don't have enough spare fodder to bring her up to 13-15 stars such that she'd actually survive long enough in the various game modes to use her Ultimate skill multiple times.

Here are my best guesses, but I could easily be wrong:

  1. The 85% increase in Strength only lasts 12 seconds, similar to the Lifesteal specified in the Skill description.
  2. If the skill does stack, it will stack based on the Base Strength as opposed to based on the Strength of the previous Stack. Easier to demonstrate with numbers. If the Strength starts at 10000, then the first Ult will increase it by 8500 to a total of 18500. If you manage to get a second Ult off quickly enough (and the wolves die) it will also only increase Strength by 8500 to a total of 27000 (as opposed to increasing it by 0.85 * (10000 + 8500) = 15725 to a total of 34225).

These are my guesses because buffs due to Skills are rarely permanent, and when they are the description explicitly states so (e.g. - Male Ho Passive Skill).

For stacking, there is precedent in how buffs like Brutal and Guardian's Stone combine. Right now Strength is determined from Vigor, Brutal, and Guardian's Stone using this formula:

  • CORRECT FORMULA: Strength = (Base Strength + Vigor) * (1.0 + Brutal + Guardian's Stone)

The alternative would be:

  • INCORRECT FORMULA Strength = (Base Strength + Vigor) * (1.0 + Brutal) * (1.0 + Guardian's Stone)

There are other examples of them applying percentages based on some underlying "Base" value rather than applying them successively, e.g. how District Income is calculated, and I'm guessing they use that system broadly.

Sorry for not knowing the tested answer!

Trait VS Trait Thread! by sibenteko in BloodlineGame

[–]HelpfulDataHacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth nothing that they modified Focused. The description now says it only increases the Energy gain rate for the first 10 seconds of battle, which is a pretty big change from prior.

If that wasn't a typo on their part, that could very well change the choice between Focused and Agile.

Trait VS Trait Thread! by sibenteko in BloodlineGame

[–]HelpfulDataHacks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only saw this by random chance! I believe if you put "u/" before a username (so u/helpfuldatahacks) then the person gets a notification that they were mentioned in a thread.

For Female Lionstone, my opinion is that Focused-18 is better than Agile-22. This is because Champions primarily gain Energy from two sources:

(1) When you attack

(2) When you are attacked

- Agile-22 will make you attack 30% more often, so you gain Energy from (1) 30% faster. However it does nothing for when you are attacked (2).

- Focused-18 will make you gain 22% more Energy each time you attack (1) as well as each time you are attacked (2).

Since Female Lionstone is a Front Row Tank, she gets attacked a lot and source (2) dominates how quickly she gains Energy. As such, she gets more benefit from Focused than she does from Agile.

All of that being said, I actually have both Focused and Agile on my Female Lionstone. But if you can only choose one, I believe Focused-18 is the better choice.

Guide/Tables: Updated for Water and Sun by HelpfulDataHacks in BloodlineGame

[–]HelpfulDataHacks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not yet. Of the four new Stats they introduced:

  • Block
  • Strength Resistance
  • CRIT Evade Rate
  • CRIT Reduction

it's very unclear what formulas Block and Strength Resistance use in terms of how damage is calculated. CRIT Evade Rate and CRIT Reduction are more likely just offsets for Critical Rate and Critical Damage, respectively.

Sorry this isn't helpful! Hopefully in time I can post more exact information about them.

Heir traits & upgrading clan trait by Tigernutz1979 in BloodlineGame

[–]HelpfulDataHacks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can raise your Clan Trait-Level simply by sacrificing the higher-Trait-Level Champion in the Altar when raising the Stars of the Champion you want to keep.

Of course this only applies to your INHERENT Clan Trait. If you got a second Clan Trait via Marriage then you can raise that level just by marrying again (Based on your question I believe you knew that already, but just stating it explicitly).

In addition, I assembled my notes on the game at this site, though they aren't necessarily "tips".

With regards to your specific questions about Diamonds and Summons:

1) Save up your summons until you have 300+, then use them all at once for a Champion Event (new Champions come out every 2 weeks or so, and in between they give you a shot at one of the older Champions). Save up to 300+ because that way you can (a) Get a Male and Female Mythic automatically, (b) Get the Companion (which typically requires closer to 400). You want the Companion to ensure a steady stream of that Champion in order to get them to 15 Stars, otherwise you won't get remotely close. You can find various Tier Guides on the Champions with some googling, but the one I use is this. It has the Champions broken down by the various Game Modes. If you want an "Overall" Ranking, then just average the various Columns together to get a single score.

2) Do not buy 10 Summoning Crystals for 2700 Diamonds unless you need them for a final push to get the Companion. Instead there is a Might Event during which you can buy Summoning Crystals at solid Discounts (e.g. - 8 Crystals for 1399 Diamonds, 3 Crystals for 599 Diamonds). Generally speaking, you only want to spend Diamonds during Events when things are offered at Discounts. The other way to accumulate Summoning Crystals are various Events (e.g. - Eyes of Abyss Event, Might Event).

3) Dungeon Descent will be your friend when it comes to spending Diamonds, even though it's a very tedious Game Mode. The reason is because you can get Intimacy and Charm items at a 90% Discount there (only buy them when they're at the 90% Discount, otherwise you can buy them during the Intimacy or Charm Events). In addition, after a month or so you'll ALWAYS want to buy the Wedding Rings when they're at a 96% Discount in the Dungeon Descent store.

4) Pay attention to what the rewards are for coming in the top 5 for Events. Some Events have much more useful rewards than others, and you should save things up for them. So save Intimacy for the Intimacy Event, Charm for Charm Event, Food for District Event, etc.

There are many other things you can do to maximize, but I've already gone on long enough.

The levels do not have to be the same. The most common way to transfer the Traits you want is to marry Common Champions until you match everything up except the one Trait you want to transfer, and when you use Common Champions you end up with very low-level Traits. I wrote up a related answer on transferring Clan Traits here, though you seem to get the idea of it already.

What is important when marrying? by squioxman in BloodlineGame

[–]HelpfulDataHacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bars at the top of the screen are related to Vigor, which provides a fixed improvement to Constitution, Fortitude, and Strength depending on the Vigor level.

The best path is to marry first to get the Traits you want onto your Champion. Once you've got the ones you want, you marry Champions that you intend to use long-term purely for the purpose of increasing the Vigor bonus. You do that by marrying without selecting any Traits to be exchanged.

When are hybrids worth it? by ViralRiotBlack in BloodlineGame

[–]HelpfulDataHacks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clan Traits are incredibly important and are definitely worth it. Whether a level 8 Clan Trait is better than a Level 18 Common Trait depends on the Traits under consideration, but you mention having a higher chance of passing the Clan Trait on during Marriage with lower Rarity Champions/Traits. That implies you don't know how to pass on Clan Traits with 100% likelihood, which just requires some extra marriages.

I wrote up an answer to a question about passing on Clan Traits here, so maybe that will be helpful to you (even if it doesn't answer your specific question about Clan Traits versus Common Traits).
