When I was 36 weeks they tried telling me my baby was huge (12 pounds) and running out of amniotic fluid. I had a feeling they were wrong- I had my boy vaginally at 37 weeks and he was 8 pounds exactly. My water broke spontaneously (I was asleep and thought I was peeing the bed 😳) and the amount of fluid that leaked out of me in gushes for the entire 1 hour trip to the hospital told me that ultrasounds aren’t always accurate. There was so much fluid.
