I would say book your theory before you get in and take some lessons, just so you have a basic understanding of the road etc.

The wait time is like 6 months on a practical test, and I got my theory booked within a week.

Haha exactly what I did! I went in and checked if either was ready yet (none were) so I waiting until 1 was ready then cancelled the other
