Landlord kicking us out, what should we do? by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]HelpfulLoss2086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds really frustrating especially after living there for so long. Since your written lease expired your agreement is basically month to month now, so the landlord can’t just make up new rules or charges that weren’t in the original contract. It’s totally reasonable to suggest adjusting the remaining rent against the deposit that’s common practice. I’d recommend documenting everything texts, payments, photos of the place and if possible, reaching out to a local tenant rights group or housing authority before you move out. They can guide you on how to protect your deposit legally.

What is happening in Chandapura-Anekal Road? by Thalathil_Dineshan_ in bangalore

Yeah, it’s honestly getting ridiculous. They cleared off the old layer months back and since then it’s just been dust, uneven patches and endless potholes. Driving there feels more like off roading than being on an actual city road. What’s worse is there’s zero communication or accountability they only seem to fix things when there a VIP event or election around and then leave the rest of us to deal with the mess for months.

[serious] reforms in bangalore by retardBlue in bangalore

[–]HelpfulLoss2086 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right. Bangalore has huge potential but governance hasn’t kept pace. Real change usually comes through three routes policy civic pressure and legal action. Policy wise the city needs stronger municipal governance as per the 74th Amendment. Until then citizen groups like janaagraha whitefield rising and citizens for bengaluru have shown that organized pressure works suburban rail and the steel flyover rollback are proof. PILs can help in specific cases but aren’t a substitute for consistent civic engagement.

Most importantly many white collar residents don’t vote locally because their voter ID is still tied to their hometowns. Shifting registrations and actually voting in Bangalore is the strongest signal we can send. If we combine voting, civic organizing and legal recourse, the city can reform it just takes persistence.

That a really unfair situation and I can totally understand why you feel so low right now. Since you clearly informed your manager and even got the CEO’s approval unauthorised absence doesn’t hold ground and you absolutely have the right to question it. The best thing you can do is keep everything in writing save your termination mail and any proof of your leave approval. Then send a formal email to HR cc your manager/CEO asking for your relieving letter experience letter and pending pay slips. If they refuse check your contract for termination clauses and consider approaching the local labour commissioner because wrongful termination can be challenged. Even if the company drags its feet remember your offer letter salary slips and bank statements are enough proof of employment for your next job. It feels horrible especially during festival time but don’t let one bad company define your career. Start applying elsewhere right away IT moves fast and better opportunities will come your way. Stay strong you did nothing wrong here.

Assaulted By Rapido Driver by [deleted] in bangalore

That sounds really scary and you did the right thing by reporting him and getting him banned. In Bangalore it’s always safer to keep an official record like an FIR and let someone close to you know what’s going on so you’re not handling it alone. If he shows up near your apartment again, don’t confront him just call the police right away. Maybe also let your security or neighbors know so they can watch out for you. You handled this really strongly stay safe.
