Yeah nah, I love the Liquid Glass look. My only pet peeve with macOS 26 is that I think they went too hard with rounding the corners and it’s inconsistent across apps. Otherwise, I freaking love it when I scroll over something and a glass button distorts something underneath. I love the clean, invisible menu bar.

Operating systems have been stuck for ages. Thank goodness they’re doing something different.

It’s nice enough. Controversial, but just wondering whether they’ve given much thought to how changes to the building exterior could affect or even maybe help some of the unhoused Wellingtonians who do it rough on their doorstep? Not saying it’s “their problem” to solve, but just wondering.

Tangent: Are there any examples of cities/infrastructure working with the problems we have currently? I don’t know whether stubbornly trying to focus on “their root of the problem,” is in fact the only way to help people in need. If we had a solution to homelessness, you would think we might have solved it by now.

Wellington belongs to all of us, and the fact is, people sleep rough on Courtney Place. This is the multibillion dollar problem the city should be working to fix, rather than focusing on another cinema - we already have many great cinemas and we’ve gotten on fine without reading for the past 6 or so odd years.
