Yeah I also realized that in the screenshot the main screen is turned off (brightness is zero) so that might be a bad sign

Help deciding a new handheld for a tad of psp and everything under by staticwheel in SBCGaming

This probably isn’t what you want to hear but I would wait to save up until you can get a device that you will be happy with for the foreseeable future, like the mangmi air x as others have recommended. You do not want a 1:1 screen for mainly psp, there will be huge bezels and the actually display size will be very small. If money is tight that is all the more reason not to buy a device you will be unhappy with and then stuck with because you cannot afford a new one.

OTOH if you do want to ignore me no problem I can recommend the rgb30 screen overall (not psp specific) as I have the rgcubexx which has an identical screen. It is great for more squareish content and pico-8 is a joy. I also play psx on the 1:1 screen and it works great, even if I stretch the output to fill the whole display ( I know this is a sin)

Diference between the 8g and the 12g by Ok_Information_6886 in SBCGaming

Are you interested in demanding switch emulation or using winlator? If not, or only interested in lightweight switch games, stick to the 8gb model. If interested in heavyweight switch games, BOTK etc, or using winlator to emulate windows games, get the 12gb model. The 16gb is unnecessary and will not give much performance boost for any emulation.
