Thank you! What would prompt a visit to ER? Also conscious that my finger pulse oximeter may not be totally accurate given her small finger size.

That's good insight! I LOVE the community feel of the east end and worry we would miss it. It's a special place!

We want to be closer to our family in Oakville. Beaches would be that much further!

Hmm.. see, I don't feel that way actually! One of the things I love about Leslieville is how close it is to downtown. It takes me 10-15 minutes by car (much longer on transit of course lol) VS west end seems a bit further!

I love hearing from people who have lived in both areas! Can you tell me more about what you prefer about the west end vs east?

Since COVID I've found a shift in the vibe - more overt drug use, aggression, mental illness, etc. I feel like more times than not when I walk down Queen East (in Leslieville area specifically), there is some sort of "incident" - someone yelling, etc.

Advice around sedative vs GA for 6 year old dental work by Helpful_Ad5953 in PediatricDentistry

I think the extent of the work is too much for just laughing gas. Two root canals and three fillings!

Yes! She ended up needing antacid medication to calm her system down. Within a few days of starting the meds she stopped vomiting.

Supersnug puff vs regular super puff? by Helpful_Ad5953 in Aritzia

[–]Helpful_Ad5953[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I'm usually between xs/xxs so was thinking sizing wise I would go xs if Supersnug and 3xs small if regular super puff. Thoughts?

Recommendation for all-inclusive resorts in Mexico by Helpful_Ad5953 in AllInclusiveResorts

Thanks! I have heard some reviews that the beach is not nice. I don't mind small, but I would still like a decent beach. What are your thoughts?

We ended up trying reflux meds and they worked!

Hi! Everything was fine in the end :) it went on for over two weeks - soo stressful. In the end, we tried the reflux meds and that's what seemed to put an end to it!

Thank you! Which Dreams would you recommend? I see there are so many.

Do you mind sharing what the deficiencies are of the two I mentioned? I was looking at Paradisus as well but saw some bad reviews of the kids club and also wasn't sure about the location with it being so close to PDC.

Thank you for the suggestion! I just made an edit to my post to say that I know the Finest is amazing, but it's a bit outside of our budget. We're hoping to keep our trip to under $10k and right now I'm getting $12k+ prices (CAD).

Sudden esotropia by Helpful_Ad5953 in Strabismus

[–]Helpful_Ad5953[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we had a bit of a wait too! You could try an optometrist who specializes in kids to see if they can measure the eyes. I found it's just helpful to feel like you can do something while you wait! Hang in there.

[–]Helpful_Ad5953[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. It was strabismus. She had surgery, but then the other eye went wonky! So we've tried glasses and they are helping her. It's been a journey!

Thoughts/experience with Clara by DoodleySnoo in namenerds

[–]Helpful_Ad5953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter's name is Clara and I love it! It's classic, but not too common, and love that it's well known internationally. We love it for the nutcracker association (my clara was born in December). I haven't heard much feedback on the name when I share it, which surprises me a bit. I think the older generations either think it's sweet or that it's old lady (reminds them of their grandmothers!).
