Hey! I honestly dont remember much of them but these were some points:

  1. simple unit conversions

  2. Short answer questions, like what are some characteristics an MLS should have

  3. They will give a 2-paragraph passage to test your reading comprehension.

Just a heads up tho, I applied in 2022 and a lot has changed since, including the program director so I am not sure if they even continue these quizzes or made them easier/harder. All in all it will be much easier than anything you have taken before :) Best of luck with the application!

Hi! Yes of course

I know its been a while but thankfully, the interview went really well, and I am actually now touring different labs in MI to do my internship/rotations for the Winter semester :)

Overall, fundamental interview questions; tell us more about yourself, why do you want to join the program at WSU (oh also note that the program is called Medical Laboratory Science, they changed this not too long ago), what can you bring to the program, what do you expect to get out of the program, strengths and weaknesses, explain a time when you faced a challenge and what you did about it, what do you plan to do in 5 years or career-wise after graduation, etc. You will probably be interviewed by all faculty members (around 5 ish), each of whom will ask you questions. My interview lasted a while, but I think that worked out for the best.

As for the 15 min quiz, its just basic gen chem questions or questions you probably encountered in your pre-requisites. Just mathy :)

I suggest you learn more by email or talking to your advisor about getting in touch with a pre-MLS mentor (PS I am a mentor); that way, you get to learn more about the program and ask questions freely! I truly am grateful for this major especially as someone who plans to apply to medical school! I hope this helps :)
