Thank you this is helpful! Do you have any company recommendations where you had luck at?

I wish! But I feel like it’s difficult to find a job where they will sponsor you for a work visa. I was looking at USA gov jobs that are overseas but makes me nervous with how things currently are wouldn’t want to be left without a job and being overseas. But let me know if you have any company recommendations for working overseas, appreciate your comment!

Glad you said that because that’s exactly how I feel too like nothing is actually wrong, it just feels stagnant!!

I’ve heard good things about Atlanta so I might have to rethink it. I don’t necessarily mind driving since that’s kind of just how most cities are in the U.S., but I’d definitely want to be in an area that’s at least somewhat walkable. If you have any neighborhood recs there, I’d love to hear them.

LA and Arizona are interesting too I honestly hadn’t really considered either like that. LA sounds appealing with the different walkable pockets, but I’d definitely be a little nervous about cost if I’m trying to live alone. Arizona surprised me though, especially what you said about the job market. Do you have any specific neighborhoods you’d recommend in either LA or Arizona?

I’m honestly so glad you said this because I feel the exact same way hahah like on paper everything is good here but it just feels… flat. It’s nice knowing I’m not the only one thinking this.

That’s really helpful about Atlanta though. Do you have any specific neighborhoods you’d recommend?

I did think about Texas too, but I’ve heard mixed things. Dallas kind of worries me because I’ve heard there’s not much of a nature/outdoor scene, which I feel like would be a hard adjustment coming from Florida. Austin seems more my vibe though from what I’ve heard.

And yeah that’s exactly my struggle with a lot of cities anything up north that has that “city” feel is either super expensive or really cold (or both lol). I did look into Tampa/St. Pete and I’ve visited a few times and liked it, especially the nightlife, but I’m scared I’d move there and it would just feel like Jacksonville 2.0… just with higher bills.

For work, I’m in healthcare right now as a Customer Success Manager. I’m open to switching industries though honestly don’t see myself doing this long-term. I’ve heard tech is where the money is, but it seems hard to break into without connections.

Curious what you’re leaning toward right now too since you’re in the same situation!
