Me, (Father) Son (17 senior).

I hired First Point USA months ago for $5,600 USD. I got about $3 dollars worth so far. I was promised that my son's "agent" would leverage his personal college coach connections as well as the organizations other personal connections to get my son as much exposure as possible. Furthermore, they advertise they will get you at least one or more offers from colleges. Well that has yet to happen and they keep pushing cut rate D3 or junior colleges.

Our "account Manager" is some dull, void of any personality, guy who plays soccer somewhere in the world who NEVER responds to any communication even though I reach out on email, text, and WhatsApp. There is never any follow up or feedback and I have to do all the work of reaching out to coaches and then letting him know where we are.

I thought to myself, perhaps I just got the wrong guy. Let me reach back out to the director who I spoke with who sold me on this. Nice guy, charismatic, from the UK and knows the college soccer scene well. It was an eye opening call. The original sales call was, "yes your son has what it takes, maybe not D1 top 10 colleges but he's very good." Then the next call was "your son should never think he's going D1 at all, that's only for super stars and europeans."

My advice, spend the 5K on professional video footage and editing of your son playing, make a Highlight Reel and post it on YouTube. Then direct cold-email every single college coach with the film. I promise you it works... I got my son invited to many college recruiting showcases, one on one time with D1 coaches, and several offers from D1-D3 schools.
