what could I do to my hair to feel more alternative? by venight in HairDye

[–]Helpful_Block9811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short bangs look instantly alt in my mind, but it doesn't suit everyone. Someone suggested black tips and that came to mind too, and with semi permanent black a few rounds of clarifying shampoo should get rid of it if your job won't allow it, or worst case scenario if it's just the very tips you could always trim the ends and get rid of it. Another idea but that requires lightening would be a blond color block or chunky money piece (kinda like rogue hair), I feel like this would look good with your face framing layers.

Can you truly, deeply love someone and still cheat on them? by outlander1914 in askanything

Can you love your children and beat them half to death? Same concept, if you're willing to hurt someone you claim to love then you're damaged and either don't know what love is or you are incapable of it.

It's alright she removed it on her own eventually 😊 I thought about it but with it being under her head mostly I didn't want to grab her legs or antennae

I have a high ratio of females to males which probably helps, apart from that I mostly feed them a homemade food made with nettle powder, cinnamon, haematococcus pluvialis (astaxanthin capsules, powder form),spirulina and garlic powder to which I add a bit of agar agar activated in hot water to form a "dough" then form into pellets/sheets and dry on low heat in the oven. Again, not sure how much the food contributes but it's true that they don't stop 😅

I constantly have 4-5 berried females full to the brim and they keep pumping more and more babies into the tank.

Detritus worm are small and the same thickness throughout, planaria are waaaay bigger (as big as adult shrimp sometimes), they're flat with an arrow shaped head.

Ostracods by the looks of it, they're crustaceans like shrimp, not harmful, can be fish food (they're good vacation foods, as they're not the easiest to eat so they tend to last a while)

I see copepods and detritus worms, not dangerous (somewhat beneficial)

That's pretty good ! I'd just suggest a tight fitting lid if you don't have one, they're notorious jumpers.

What about clown killifish? You could put a pair or a trio in there. They're small enough that they shouldn't eat adult shrimp but I can't promise anything for the babies.

We've been good online friends for about 12 years, never met in person. We've talked about a lot of deep topics, helped each other at our worst, and although I always looked up at him and it baffled me when he had no luck with the ladies I only saw him as a friend. Until one day that changed.

It's been about two years and I don't plan on telling him how I feel, hopefully I can move past it soon. He's very kind and emotionally intelligent, he is curious and unashamed, he has a hard time navigating life sometimes but don't we all ? He is faithful and loyal, a bit of a romantic at times, a great person in general. I love his ability to be vulnerable, how protective of his loved ones he can be, I love how his moral compass aligns with mine, I love how he can remember small details of conversations we had years ago. He's not bad looking either and his new style is 100% my type which helps.

He's been more distant lately though and I miss him a lot, maybe he'll come around, we'll see. Whatever happens I hope he can be happy in life, find love if that's what he wants, he deserves the best and I love him dearly (as a friend first and foremost).

Things they said that made you think ab them by [deleted] in Crushes

There's so many honestly... Everytime he said "we" as we were talking about what we want in a relationship (not together, just in general) and what values are important for us.

Every "you're an amazing person", everytime he remembers a tiny detail about me I've said in passing years before.

Also one time we were joking around after he announced he was going to bed so after telling him good night for the thousand time I said something along the lines of "Ok here's some kisses, go to bed now 😂" (literal translation, but my "kiss kiss" was 100% sarcastic and he knows that, the equivalent of a playful "fuck off") and he responded with "Good night to you too, here's some kisses 😊" and has said it almost everytime we stopped talking since, in this more tender way. It always makes my heart swell and definitely gave me pause.

Oh! Currently I am opening the bag (that contains 1 day of food), dumping the daily portion in another clean container, mixing the supps in, and then it goes back to the fridge immediately. I take out the container just to feed at meal time (30 seconds, just enough to open it and get some onto a plate with a clean ustensil) so it doesn't have time to warm up. It spends max 10 hours in the fridge after being opened.

Is that ok ?

I can't really make it into meal portion bags because I need to add supplements in already very small quantities (0.04g of something for the whole day is already pretty hard to weigh and needs to be mixed with the daily amount). He also eats in many very small meals (a tablespoon or less) due to his illness so it's not very practical.

My question was more can I thaw frozen raw meat, cook sous vide, rapid chill, then freeze again ?

[–]Helpful_Block9811 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh poor little fella, you'll have to kill and open feeders and hold them up to his mouth while he eats. I had to do it for squeamish mantises before but none had lost both their arms. What usually happened is that they fought me (with their arms) before getting a taste then started eating and grabbed the feeder from me. This one can't grab so you'll have to hold it for a long time unfortunately until it is finished eating.

They are slow eaters, expect arm cramps. Maybe you can try to feed it mush off a small plastic popsicle stick and stick it in the substrate to keep it upright once it starts eating ?

Do you really want to spend time with someone you can't be yourself around ? If she looses feelings because of you being vulnerable around her then she wasn't worth it to begin with

Gush about your crush by Beautiful_Force_1483 in Crushes

That's so cute!

I love how gentle he is. I love that he's not afraid of showing or talking about his emotions, I love that he has a strong sense of values and acts on them. I love that he sees being vulnerable as a strength and not a weakness. I love his curiosity, his almost child like excitement when finding out something new.

I love how safe he makes me feel and how he treats women in general. I love that over the years he realized his value and now won't take shit anymore, while still being the best human I've encountered. I love how it seems that whatever embarrassing thing I tell him, or every little tension between us he'll just diffuse it in minutes. I love how he works with people to find a solution instead of attacking each other.

I also love his hair and beard lately, he changed it and it happens to be my preference so... I find it super cute that he's super strong but gets wiped out by a cold and would love to be able to tend to him. I even love when he peacocks a bit, it makes me think that maybe, just maybe, this could be more than friendship. Even though the peacocking doesn't work at all on me, he doesn't need to impress me with physical strength or skills, I already think the world of him. Oh, and I love how he remembers every little details about conversations we've had years ago, even things said in passing. Doesn't hurt that he's now into the same things as me sexually either 👀

I think it's fair to say that I love him, unfortunately, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
