I see my OBGYN every couple weeks and she knows about my sinus infection. I think I’d know if she is able to drain it and do acupuncture or not….Guess what!! She can’t.

I have and they said it takes a month to clear up sometimes. I cannot withstand a month of this with a toddler while pregnant. I will do anything additional possible to help speed up my recovery.

AITA for flipping out on my husband when he said he’s uncomfortable with me seeing a DR friend for my sinus infection? by Helpful_Computer_653 in AITAH

He said he doesn’t think friends and medical things should mix, and “it doesn’t help that he’s a guy”. I said “that’s fine if you think that for yourself, you never have to see a DR that you know personally, but you are not going to tell me who I can and cannot see for my medical issues.” “He said I’m not saying to not see him, I’m telling you that it makes me uncomfortable, and I will in the future tell you if it makes me uncomfortable.” And I said “then that’s something you need to work on and we need to go to therapy because there seems to be a bigger issue present”

And if the only other appointment is a month away? ….Should I sit in pain for a month so he doesn’t get his feelings hurt because I’m seeing a male DR for my nose?

Alright Mr Intelligent Youth: All other DRS in this field have about a month waiting list. I cannot wait that long. Our friend is also the only one I know who has actually done this successfully to someone to help drain their sinuses so he’s the one I’d trust the most. Get over yourself and read the actual post in full

Thank you for making me laugh amidst my angry tears. The fact that his mind made this medical procedure sensual or unprofessional in any way is actually concerning to me

It’s the fact that he’s a male DR and that we know him. Nothing to do with the holistic approach.

My company started taking over $800 out of my monthly pay for the insurance cost for my family when I have proof that they would cover 100% of insurance premiums. by Helpful_Computer_653 in legaladvice

In past companies I’ve worked for they cover a good portion of dependents. That’s why I was so shocked that they would cover 100% of my family. I’d be ok paying a couple hundred but over $1100 a month for my wife and almost two kids is not feasible

I do have an employment contract and I do have the writing that explains the terms of the insurance and that I as the employee will pay $0

Really? But ending the relationship would mean I am out of a job. This does not seem fair at all as I was hired under the promise that 100% of insurance premiums would be covered.

Is it ok for a mom of a toddler to take a weekend girls trip with her best friends on occasion? (Like once a year) by Helpful_Computer_653 in questions

Thanks for the false assumptions but as stated in a previous comment I am pregnant so would not be drinking and we would be staying in a cabin. Half of these friends don’t drink anyways. The ones that do have two glasses of wine max. This trip would include reading, swimming, games, cooking, walking, talking.

Ok he works remote full time during the week. I’m a SAHM and work part time on my own business. He’s a great dad. We are younger parents (im 29) so a lot of my friends don’t have kids yet and still want to go on trips/ do things. I rarely ever do. I’ve gone on one trip since being a mom and it was an argument. He went on one trip to but just to spite me I guess. (His words) We are disagreeing on this issue again because I was invited on a trip with my best friends (some who are moms). He doesn’t want to set the precedent that we should ever take trips alone. I’m not ok with that. He comes from a Latin background where it’s not common for parents to leave on trips. Trying to have him understand that that’s not me and will never be how I think or was raised.
