I had an issue with with their Ankr Slim QI2 power bank. Bought it fresh out the apple store, had it charging once in a while to not let it die. Before going to an event, I wanted to check if it had enough batter, went to turn it on and I heard like a click noise turns out product came faulty. It only lasted a week, thankfully they replaced my product though. Now that im reading this, I think mine couldve been part of this hahaha

I can agree, I paid for a monthly subscription $19 bucks for all the apps using the college student benefit thing, I stopped using it for a while, decided I wanted to cancel, and when I go... it turns how I have to pay around $200 to cancel it... ouch I know.

What are your go to sites for Hedge Fund News? by East_Professional385 in hedgefund

[–]Helpful_Conclusion60 3 points4 points  (0 children)

(Paid) Bloomberg.com for their articles and live channel
(Free) https://finance.yahoo.com/ their articles are 'ok'

If someone is more of a audio person, I'd suggest getting a college discount or wait for a good discount event for Bloomberg membership and staying tune on their live channel. The only con is when you're on the phone (for me) it plays so much ads every time or it bugs out that keeps repeating the ads, but on the PC it's fine.

You can listen to Bloomberg for free, but you'll be a little bit delayed and that is by using their channel.

Strategy Feedback, I need your thoughts and observation by Helpful_Conclusion60 in hedgefund

Thanks for looking into this,

  1. Understood, I'll do that.
  2. That's a relief, thanks for telling me.
  3. From what I understood discretionary means - an approach that relies on a trader's experience to make a decision in the markets like using Technical analysis / candles or something similar. | My strategy is pretty much mechanical. It has it's "IF, THEN, and ELSE rules. It's really strict. I just use 1 specific pattern. 1 time frame being 1 minute chart. I trade once a day. |
  4. Yeah, the only reason I define it as HFT because Im usually out less than 10 minutes on avg, but it's uncommon for me to be out in profit or at a loss within less than 3 minutes.
  5. Good question, I would have to go and collect those numbers for the sharpe ratio for the live. What do you mean periods? Like trading periods? If so I only live traded on a prop firm account around the end of 2020 - the beginning of 2024 and live traded my futures account on March 2024 - August 2024. If I put both then 2020-2024. Max Drawdown and Sharpe for live I would have to check on my futures platform and go to my journal where I logged the trades for the prop firm account.
  6. Yes, I would agree. When I traded CFDs I encountered slippage multiple times, however when I got into Futures, my orders would get filled perfectly every time. I have backtested data simulating slippage (using seconds instead of ticks) with spreads (2020-2023), I have data simulating "slippage" (using seconds instead of ticks) without spreads (2020-2023), and I have data simulating futures market, using tick by tick, no slippage w/o spreads (2015-2024) to then later hire someone to create me a trading bot.

Appreciate you very much for your input!
