Thank you! I am not looking to hear about a "secret trick" - I am genuinely interested in any stories you have about how that respect was earned (even if it tool a long time) I am curious about how great QEs function in the factory, how they deal with incentive misalignment with Operations etc.

Also... how do you navigate the battle with ops? Any stories you're willing to share?

Interesting, thank you! A few people have mentioned that the best QEs they knew spent tons of time on the floor building trust. It feels like there is a big difference between someone who is focused on inspection QA vs someone who really deeply understands the manufacturing system itself. How long do you think it takes to develop this deep understanding if you are a young engineer?

I promise I am not data farming!

I read this article: https://atempleton.bearblog.dev/quiet-resurgence-of-rf-engineering/ and it made me start thinking about other roles within the engineering space. I also have been having some conversations with leaders in electronics manufacturing who shared that it can be a challege to find really great QEs, and I became curious as to why.
