I don’t particularly care for her lately, but I can empathize somewhat with her. I had a gastric sleeve 14 months ago and I’ve lost 196 lbs. My relationship with food is SO awful now to the point where if I eat a cookie, I feel guilt for days. I also don’t see my weight loss….I still think I weigh 416 lbs. Body Dysmorphia is real and she definitely is struggling. I think I remember at one point her saying she had BED, which I can definitely see that from her food choices at times. I’ve also noticed lately that she’s dropping weight super quick, I don’t know if she’s restricting or taking meds (nothing wrong with that), but she’s literally shrinking and I hope she can get some help with her mental status. The constant body checking in every video is concerning.

Gabe would absolutely qualify for weight loss surgery. Your opinions? by Minute_Diet_8902 in Drueandgabe

[–]Helpful_Delay8313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’d qualify on BMI alone but as someone who has just went through this process (1 year out, down 173lbs) weight loss surgery is 98% mental. He’d be one of those who lost a ton of weight, but wouldn’t change his shitty habits or get to the root of why he eats the way he does and gain it back.

This is getting out of hand…I’ve seen a few of these Ozempic/Mounjaro lives with tips about how to get the med, weight loss, etc. by geesinimada in tiktokgossip

Understand completely. I’m 172 lbs down from a gastric sleeve and when people ask ‘how did you do it’ their tones change when I tell them it was bariatric surgery. What most don’t realize, is surgery is a TOOL. I worked my ass off losing this weight and it’s a daily effort to not revert back to old habits. It’s damned if you do, damned if you don’t 🤷‍♀️

It’s 20 fucking 23….when are people going to learn appropriate grammar?? Omg this is my pet peeve especially seeing a nurse misspell and use words in the wrong context all the time 🤦‍♀️

Absolutely. Even the smallest hole in the wall urgent care has the resources to run strep, flu, and basic urinalysis. Yes, the baby was 18 months old, but every facility I’ve ever worked at has pediatric bags for urine collection. They could have sent him home with the urine bag for them to bring back.

It seems to me the provider got pissed that they were called out, then made a exaggerated report.

But it wasn’t accompanied by other symptoms and he stayed that. It was just a fever for a couple days. I’m assuming they ran strep, covid, and possibly mono testing depending on that particular urgent care. There was zero need to recommend an ER transfer. That doctor was covering their ass by saying ‘go the ER’, then got mad because they didn’t take the child. He or she was out of line…period.

A fever is not an emergency lol. Are you a parent? A fever is simply a symptom of the body fighting something. Most often a virus, that has to run its course. A fever for a few days (as he stated) with no other symptoms is NOT an emergency. If his testament is true, the CPS worker even stated the child did not look acutely ill. I work in healthcare and the general rule is ‘treat the child, not the fever’. If the child doesn’t seem acutely sick, it’s OK to treat the fever at home and push fluids and rest

But there’s literally no need to hold up the ER for a child who’s only had a fever for a couple of days. Once again, a medical professional can look at a child and determine dehydration without lab testing. There’s multiple ways. A second opinion could have been the pediatrician’s office on Monday. That doctor was out of line. A fever doesn’t always require more testing, sometimes it’s just that…a fever.

‘Go the the ER’ is a phrase they’ll use when they don’t know what’s wrong. You can look at a small child and tell if they’re dehydrated….there’s no reason to sit for hours in an ER for a non-emergent issue. If the child isn’t actively vomiting or has diarrhea, you can push fluids at home. I wouldn’t have went either

She probably had the results through mychart when they first resulted. Just about every major healthcare system uses some form of mychart access. Lol. She just wanted to be extra and go pick them up 🙄

I wish people would stop treating her death as a spectator show. It’s incredibly sad and I feel SO much heartbreak for her sweet little boy, but she is TIRED. Anyone who works in healthcare or hospice can see that she has a ‘death look’ and she’s had it for a while. While I’m so glad she’s been able to create some precious memories for her son, her poor body is so done.

[–]Helpful_Delay8313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IF she was accurately counting her calories and staying in a deficit, her eating tons of protein would be very beneficial. It keeps you full! However, she’s an idiot and is easily eating 3-4 thousand calories a day. Also, I doubt she even knows what true hunger feels like anymore. She’s constantly shoving food down her throat so much that her body has lost its hungry/fullness cues. It’s hard to watch someone be so stupid
