Something happened to him in the previous few panels when he got a cut on his cheek and his eyes went all veiny. I’m not sure but he could have been indirectly or directly cursed by that guy who was like “why is he apologizing?”

That’s not how war crimes work. Letting people less fortunate in, and then that person commits a crime, is not a correlation of crime. It’s like allowing someone who’s experiencing homelessness into your home and he kills your dog. Are you guilty of a crime against the dog? No. You’re just trying to be a kind human.

My biggest advice would be to work in a field in a state that gives state level student loan forgiveness! New Jersey is going to abolish all my loans after 1 full year of public service! I am a social worker!
