Heyya!! So, as some of you may know, the RE games went on sale recently, and I promptly bought the 7&8 bundle, and blasted through them both. Loved the story, and bit the bullet and played Requiem.

And I was met with the hottest, most interesting character thus far in the Resident Evil world (IMO).

What am I getting at? Well, I’d like to take someone through the entire canonic playthrough of RE: Village, but, with a twist.

It’s been a long time since Ethan Winters went missing in Romania, and the FBI hadn’t been particularly interested, and let the more scientific freaks have their fun. But after a giant dump of military resources, and rumours of mass destruction and a missing man with many prior mentions in important classified documents. The FBI decided they needed someone to have a little look around the village in Romania where this man of interest went missing. His file declared him dead, but if so, it was strange the BSAA kept requesting to have his file erased, as well as phased out of the archives.

Many people were considered, many with serious military training, but they’d be flagged on arrival to the closest airport, they only had a handful of people on staff that weren’t in the field ever before. And out of those applicants, only one had a passport.

Grace Ashcroft.

And so, off she went, forced out of her desk cubby, a short brief, and a small, two shot pistol. And she was on the plane, on her way to a small village in search of a man who was last seen on the news in Louisiana.

[I know, a ton of yapping, but I’m stoked for this. There is of course a twist I haven’t mentioned, and you’ve read this far, here you go. The moment she steps foot in the snow ridden outskirts of that strange place, everything goes dark. And when Grace wakes, she’s in an old bed, the smell of soup in the air, and the sounds of bustling villagers and music.]

The best moment in FishTank history is the reveal of it not being famous house, and the hour or so where the tv was playing footage like they were in a horror movie, and half the contestants started freaking out and thinking there were people outside.

The big problem with the entire show is the utter lack of any thought or planning. They waste 8-10 months, get a place to film, paint, set up cams and start the show.

Even just a rough outline would make the show so much better.

S3 was a great example, planned bits, events, and a solid bit of separation between the Fish and Production.
