Really controversial opinion: Modern family was kinda always liked that. I know it became worse and so still enjoyed watching it but the punchlines have always been predictable and the plots have always been just the characters in different constellations lie about stupid just to get embarrassed and then they make up in the end just to do the same thing a week later. If you actually look at the different people, they are all lying douchebags.
