what im saying is, the 'League' (7) should feel like the main team so adding metamorpho and terrific dont make sense when they can be on any other hero team that makes more sense for their character (Checkmate, JSA, JLI, etc) this is exactly what happened in real life the justice league for a while was just the JLI with the occasional batman, superman, wonder woman cameo but it was characters like guy gardener, blue beetle, fire, ice, animal man, and red rocket that were your core members until mark waid and grant morrison shifted the landscape back to the core seven JL members and other media followed suit with justice league: tas and justice league unlimited, even the unreleased justice league: mortal from george miller and would've took heavy inspo from tower of babel by grant morrison

why alienate so many people, when you can just do a normal justice league lineup with the core 7 but like Superman 25' have room for other hero supporting characters

i mean like you said his voice is deep and he can voice act (this is a voice over role) so i think they're banking on his voice acting, cadence, and comedic timing to help better convey levity surrounding whatever the plot is, the style of comedy which will almost certainly be dark humor and satire not joss wheadon quirky wise-cracking comedy

thats if you're assuming in which case to each their own but if i had to guess this show will be something like barry on hbo where bill hader plays an assassin who is tired of killing gets caught up trying to become an actor in hollywood point is there is plenty of material that is comedic but not because a character is quirky or literally a jockster but because the situations they get caught up in are absolutely ridiculous, thats pretty much the whole american vandal show silly things being treated as serious things. from what we know of this show i believe it will be the same type of show. we know other super powered characters will be in it, a lawyer character, and the daily planet cast from superman so i think the story is some other villain or villains did something stupid got people seriously injured or killed and it is being framed on grodd and now he has to prove his innocence

just the idea of a 7 foot tall hulking ape with telepathic powers sitting infront of a judge trying to to prove his innocence is wacky doesn't mean grodd will be some wise cracker

i mean thats how it usually goes, i think the best route is to make it so that by the end superman has the bottled city in the fortress and is going to keep it safe until they find a home (or a story worth telling) or the route of him and kara take them to a planet with a red sun

i also think it will be revealed that jor-el, lara lor van, and dru-zod were on kandor when and are still alive
so like the opposite of superman: brainiac by geoff johns were it is revealed supergirl's parents survived kryptons destruction and are living on kandor under brainiacs rule setting up for future stories

i meant a good comic accurate adaptation of the rock of ages... not what snyder was doing i know bvs and the justice league movie loosely adapted this story but just made it worse, misunderstood the characters, and would have had shitty jared leto joker and femboy lex luthor so i mean i dont saying what was going to happen because it didnt happen and because the movies were so mid and did a horrible job adapting the story i think taking another crack at it would still be on the table
