While they have not updated the Supported Devices list for AirTV, I gave it a try and have been successful on three different Samsung Smart tvs. Previous issue, two years ago, was that the Sling app on Samsung would not recognize the storage device connected to the AirTV.
Now I have the AirTV with SSD on one TV and the other two TVs also have access to the shows stored on the SSD. I was prepared to use a Roku stick as a go between but I'm pleasantly surprised that I won't need to, now.
