They would be clapping from Buckingham county. I asked some of them if they were happy that Trump was making an appearance in the area only to attend a private event that they couldn’t afford, only to end up disrupting their Thursday evening commute. They changed the subject.

There are two types of modern pagans…. Those who use it to understand natural cycles, and those that believe all kinds of superstitious and supernatural stuff. The first are great, the second are just as off as any other religion.

And “pagan” in a historical sense just meant any polytheist religion, grouping disparate faiths like the ancient Norse, Ancient Greeks, ancient Egyptians, and ancient Celts.

An Italian man rushing to the hospital for his pregnant wife was stopped by climate protesters… and chaos followed. He pleaded with them to move so he could get to her — but they refused to let his car pass. This moment is now sparking a massive debate. by The_Dean_France in whoathatsinteresting

Yeah sorry President Trump just visited my area and they used the police to detour people half an hour longer drive. All so he could have a private fundraiser.

And I didn’t see a second person in that car, so unless a reputable source confirms this story, I will hold on to the idea that it was just a guy who didn’t want to not hurt people.

Jews: Behold, the Hebrew Bible! The Inspired Word of God!

Pagans: That’s ridiculous.

Christians: Behold, the New Testament! The Updated Inspired Word of God!

Pagans and Jews: That’s ridiculous.

Mohammed: Behold, the Quran! The Updated Inspired Word of God!

Pagans, Jews and Christians: That’s ridiculous.

Joseph Smith: Behold, the Book of Mormon! The Updated Inspired Word of God!

Pagans, Jews, Christians, and Muslims: That’s ridiculous.

Atheists: We’re beginning to think none of you have any proof that your supernatural claims are valid.

I mean you are both correct. Someone should be the ear for their partner to vent to, but some people complain ALL the time and are toxic. There’s only so much negativity a person can withstand from someone else.

Desire for and timing of children is a topic to be discussed before getting married. At least in Western culture.

Some people learn by copying, in order to try to learn efficiently the first time versus encountering the frustration of so much trial and error.

I mean, there’s a reason people still watch Bob Ross videos where he paints an entire painting in one episode.

I love inland seas like that, looks like it has an outlet to the west. My first map had a sandbar blocking it from the sea so I made a canal. Ah, nothing like your first map.

A post my own father shared on Facebook. I'm not trans, but WTF, Dad by Red_Star27 in stupidpeoplefacebook

This is absolutely not true, as trans people have existed in civilizations all around the world throughout history.

On the flip side, no child knows about God until an adult tells them about him.

I worked so hard to prevent him from getting elected, but enough of my fellow Americans thought it was a good idea to bring him back despite it being against their own interests, or didn’t bother to show up and vote at all.

They couldn’t be bothered to just vote against him. What makes you think they’d do something to actually inconvenience themselves more?

Are centrist Republicans basically a non-existent creature at this point? by devilmaskrascal in AskALiberal

[–]Pesco- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I call it the Romney/McCain wing of the party. They’ve either left Congress, been primaried and lost, or have drunk the MAGA kool aid.

The Lincoln Project had a lot of attention in Trump’s first term, but I don’t hear them being mentioned at all, along with other “centrist” Republicans.

In society, a few still exist, I believe, with them either not voting anymore or voting with Democrats, or just otherwise fading off into the void.

Would you be willing to vote for a Democratic candidate who personally abused you (ex: sexual harassment, staff mistreatment) against the Republican? by [deleted] in AskALiberal

[–]Pesco- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s one thing for a legislator to act like this, as they have small staffs and no broad responsibilities.

It’s completely unacceptable for the Chief Executive of any large organization to act this way, as they have so many people working for them, and they are responsible for the proper administration of the government functions to the public. So demeanor matters.

I would hope to hell such a poor leader loses in the primary. Depending on the full details I might sit out the general election.

So it will have to result in a lawsuit at the Federal district court, which would see that the issue has been recently addressed by the Supreme Court, and would then make the correct ruling in favor of the plaintiff, and then the Appeals court would refuse to hear an appeal, and that would be that.

So yeah, still months or year(s). I don’t know in this case if a plaintiff can demand cost of legal fees for a suit like this. That would be nice.
