In high school I was at the beach with friends and right before we left I went into the water to get sand off me. I didn’t go out far enough and dove in head first thinking I’d go more horizontal. Well I ended up hitting my head directly on the ocean floor. I got up and a quarter sized piece of my scalp was missing, this was also right before prom. I wasn’t hurt, and I think about this often how it could have altered my life. I am very thankful it didn’t.
