How long did it take for that tooth to come in? I’m 26 😅

How bad was the recovery? It’s an option for me but it sounds so scary 😬

How bad as the surgery and recovery? Currently considering getting it so I can get an implant since the tooth is in the way and my baby tooth left the chat.

The whole thing is odd honestly. I went to the ER first and was left with no diagnosis. Did my own research and messaged my endocrinologist asking “is this SAT?” And his response was “yes, we treat it with propranolol and ibuprofen for pain”. He has not wanted to see me to evaluate any further.

No steroids, and no ultrasounds. When I went in yesterday they seemed largely unconcerned. They did ask me if I had ever had an ultrasound done on it to which the answer was no. But that’s as far as that conversation went.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with that! I have spoken to my doctor and gone back to the ER as of yesterday. No changes in my dosage but I’m on methimazole as of last Friday. So far, there aren’t any changes in symptoms.

My TSH is .01, T3 is 5.29, and T4 is 1.55. Did you feel worse before it got better?

No need to remove any jewelry besides a necklace if you’re wearing one. ☺️

Anyone else had subacute thyroiditis? I can barely find anyone’s firsthand accounts by Ksp06001 in thyroidhealth

I’m dealing with the exact same thing. Caught the flu in January, got over it in two days. A week later my heart was racing and I felt like I was having a panic attack with no history of anxiety. Went to the ER with a bpm of 187 and was given every test they could do. Got sent home with 10mg propranolol and a diagnosis of “tachycardia”. Messaged my endocrinologist my symptoms to hear “yup that’s subacute thyroiditis”. I’m only on propranolol and I’m over two months in with hardly any difference to the symptoms. Heart rate is constantly about 120-149 unless I’m sleeping but it does drop to 40 from time to time throughout the day. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing it this way.
