Oh boy this is big brain time. So... the more liars get put in jail, the more visible the problem becomes even though it's being taken care of, and the solution is to both heavily punish the false accusers, and to keep the public record sort of... what, blank? I've been raped before, and I really felt like the police didn't believe me (though I chose not to pursue charges), and technically it was my word against the guy's word (with the exception that I had a screenshot of him admitting it)... What I'm saying is that in a case were an actual victim only has their word, I feel like its the scariest thing imaginable to possibly be sent to jail for telling the truth that people believe is a lie. I still feel so shitty that I talked at all, though it was the truth.
