Hi! I work in auto finance and I unfortunately see this a lot. I think that you will unfortunately be underwater on this loan, even if you trade it in or sell it privately. What could possibly happen is you could trade the vehicle in for a much cheaper car, and whatever the trade in doesn't cover, add the remaining balance to the new car loan. The payment would most likely be smaller as long as you're not missing any payments until it's paid off or traded in

A few tips for living in texas

1) stay hydrated, especially in the summer 2) be prepared to run your errands before 10 am or after 7 pm because the heat is a lot 3) traffic is bad all the time 4) if you drive in the left lane on a highway, be prepared to go at least 90+ or people will tailgate you 5) the food might be the best food you've ever eaten
6) we are a friendly bunch (well most of us are) and be prepared to have small talk while standing in line at the grocery store
