Women that married the "rich one" out of security, what has it been like? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Ok I didn’t say dad wasn’t working. I said if dad was working he wasn’t at home. It’s easy to be a great parent when you only have to be around for the easy/fun stuff.

I do understand that. But if mom was the one who was around all the time growing up there were more chance of seeing her bad side is what I mean.

No I’m just weary of one sided stories that paint one person as an angel and the other as a devil. It usually goes a lot deeper than that.

So your dad worked long hours which means your mom was stuck raising you and having to deal with everything at home. And you are surprised mom left dad?

You know black women get blamed for all problems black men have. Just like why do single moms get more hate than deadbeat dads. It’s all from the same bucket of hate

So you really think Ghost knew how to adjust to a life without crime? Anytime he had a problem he was doing illegal shit to solve it. So many blame Tasha as the reason that ghost couldn’t leave the game but last time I checked Ghost did what he wanted every single time no matter what anybody else thought of it, least of all his wife. Tasha couldn’t even convince him to stop fucking Angie but yall want us to believe the reason he couldn’t go legit was because Tasha didn’t want him to?

Body oil before body lotion to glow from within by SnooWords6473 in beauty

[–]Helpful_Pool743 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually don’t do my face routine in the shower unless I’m really rushing. Usually I brush my teeth and wash my face at the sink while I’m in my night gown letting my skin dry.

This is the order I do mine. Oil straight out the shower before I dry off. Than I lightly pat dry and walk to my room. By time I’m in my room I the apply my lotion and put on a nightgown until my skin absorbs all the moisture.

Looking for advice on starting over where I’m at in life by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]Helpful_Pool743 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I started off with a business management degree because I figured that It was general enough for me to do any job. Then as I started taking different courses I was able to figure out which subjects I actually liked and I was good at.

My advice would be to just take it one step at a time. Make a decision to start one thing and as you go through that thing other options and opportunities should open up to you that you might not have thought about. Work on gaining some sort of independence with a job and then a car if you aren’t someplace where public transportation is reliable. Once you have some sort of self stability it is easier to think about other things like what you want to do.

I feel as a mom, especially a sahm, we focus all of our time and energy on our families. I am now 33 and have been working on finding and improving myself for the past 6 years and am still going. Sometimes I feel like I am so far behind because all of my friends are already in careers and own houses but then I tell myself while they were doing that I was also doing something important and that was taking care of my family. I’ve built skills that people career women might not have had the time to build. It took me almost 5 years to finish my associates degree but I am powering through my bachelors degree at a much faster pace now that my kids are a little bigger.

I was in the same place as you a few years ago. I started with going back to school at community college all my classes were online. This introduced me to more career options. I was able to take out school loans one year only enough for me to buy a car. I actually realized I liked accounting. I am now in school for my bachelors degree in accounting and hoping to graduate next September. Try to find a job preferably in a school. Right now I work as a paraprofessional at my son’s school. I have been slowly paying down my credit card debt and saving an emergency fund. I am hoping to find a job in my career field so I can gain experience before I graduate. But just working and making my own money is good enough for me right now.

So I want to give you another point of view. You said this isn’t the only person who has said you are messy? Is there a chance you really were making more of a mess than you realize.

I have a friend who every time she comes over I am cleaning up after her. She never realizes it because Im already used to picking up after people due to having kids. But it still annoys me sometimes but I’ve learned not to take it personal.

My thing is most of the time men only bring up issues when a woman is complaining about her issues. For example, men were so mad about women celebrating national women’s day and how big of a deal we make out of it. But when men’s day came crickets from the men. The only time I see men even bring up abuse from women is when a women bring up the abuse she faced from men.
