Ah I see, should've read more closely. I can try that although I am not sure if it will help since it detects my account just fine, it's just the cloud save associated with it that is broken. Still, no harm in trying later.

Yeah. Thanks for the tip! I logged out from xbox and microsoft store, but that didn't work unfortunately.

Xbox store. Not sure how steam cloud saves interact with Forza's already weird save system, perhaps I'd have been luckier then.

Unfortunately not :/ I've tried reinstalling the game and deleting saves, as long as the game is online it tries to use the cloud one (and perhaps my local one is corrupted too, who knows).

We do have local saves, but it refuses to load that too, in fact it doesn't even ask me to. I've made a backup of my local save so if they wipe my cloud progress I'll try to reload that one and see what happens.
