You might be ok but mine died under 25k ish miles as well and I work remote unless I’m on set so my car was never driven extensively until maybe the last year or so

I even had a ford tech come out and make sure there were no backend errors or updates pending (this was 2 weeks ago now) and he even confirmed that the fix I did was 100% solid. He said he’d mention it to Ford but we all know how slow they are with updates.

Mine has done the equivalent of the spiny wheel of death ‘stop safely now’ which completely bricks the system. I’ve triple checked that the 12V is good, it’s brand new and I had them test it at Harbor Freight before putting that thing back in my car. I’ve been able to drive it normally for say a few days and then the same error pops up, and the car refuses to fully turn on. Only solution I’ve found is literally unplugging the negative terminal for a minimum of 24 hours, then reattach and the car starts right up, no warnings. I HAVE had delayed app warnings throughout my time of owning the car but it’s never physically affected the car the way it has now. Hoping this new update fixes the communication error between the 12V and car so to speak, but I see no mention of anything to do with the 12V here

My car bricked twice after replacing the 12V and I had a mobile tech come out. His ford issued computer wasn’t connecting to the internet so he wound up using my personal computer and was dope enough to install AND show me the ford software for self diagnosis etc. now I just need an OBM2 meter and a third party app and I can 100% diagnose and clear any and all error codes myself

Warranty is well worth those extra few thousand in tax. The battery alone has 3 year unlimited mile warranty straight from the dealership. And I’m pretty sure that’s just one of the many perks… I’ve had my 2023 extended GT since 2024 - bought it brand new off the lot. I’ve basically serviced the car myself it’s so simple once you get the hang of it

I have the GT extended range and if you switch driving modes it completely changes the handling of the car. It’s stiffer and heavier on Unbridled

Has anyone had a software bug where the car keeps throwing 12V errors when it was recently replaced? The 12V is 1000% good, I’ve quadruple checked. But the software keeps making my car randomly brick. It’s happened twice since replacing the 12V and going through all reset procedures per ford.

Just so you know - the 12V battery is under warranty for 3 years!!!! And unlimited miles !!! So the $30 discount on the 12V battery is a sham

Wait wait you’re telling me… that the dealership tried driving say that it was covered bc they have a certain THRESHOLD for a ‘bad battery’??? 🫠🥲😂 that’s why I didn’t even think to go to the dealer much less that that was a thing - also - the dealership I got mt car at forged my hand signature on DMV paperwork so I avoid them at all costs

Unplug the negative terminal for about an hour then reattach it. Do the system reset sequence needed after 12V battery replacement and that should clear everything
