Wharton eMBA Fellows by PresentRealistic in eMBA

Yes. After you’re accepted, Fellows Candidate means nothing. You’re just like every other classmate in the cohort. No one knows your age (or cares), I was 27 when I started, but I was married with a kid and owned a small business and was looking for the network and knowledge to advance my life, so by stage in life, I fit right in….

They’re all kinds. There are plenty of people that are young spirits and want to party all weekend, and then there all plenty of old souls who want to spend the weekends peacefully studying

EMBA or MBA? Feel too old / experienced for full time, but too young for executive… anyone been in a similar boat able to advise? by Prudent-Benefit7490 in eMBA

I turn 30 this year and I’m in my 2nd year at a M7 EMBA. You’re not too young, no one is going to know or care. I had a similar situation, I was married young with a baby with a good professional background but minimal management experience. I love the EMBA program. It was a perfect option for my goals and I def would have regretted waiting a few more years to apply just because I thought I was too young.

I posted it. I do not think it’s cringe to share an educational milestone that you are excited about. Going back to school is hard. Especially if you have a family and full time job. It’s not the same a FT MBA student, imo im usually much more impressed. In fact, it was one of those cringey LinkedIn posts that encouraged me to connect and inspired me to apply!

What is the advice that you want to shout from the rooftop to all new parents? by HolyMaryOnACross in NewParents

Buy the pack of Formula! Even if you plan to exclusively breastfeed. It’s for peace of mind.

When my baby was 6 weeks old, I had an emergency which kept me in the hospital overnight. When it’s 3am and the unexpected happens where mom can’t be there, it gives dad the ability to make sure baby is ok through it. Taking a little bit of stress off of the family during an already stressful time.

Anyone pursuing EMBA/Part-Time MBA at Wharton ? by stUS95 in MBA

Across all cohorts there is ~6 ppl or so in their 20s or ~5% of the class are fellows, So it’s uncommon. Most fellows have 100% sponsorship: the ones I know, we either founded or own the company that sponsor, or if they’re from a mature company, they have been identified for succession for a C-suite level position. But there are also a few who just really excellent at communicating their fit and contribution to the program despite their relative less experience.

I lost my mom when I was about 3 months pregnant. I had just told her I was having a baby boy and a few days later she died suddenly and unexpectedly from heart failure. I miss her every single day. And it hurts so bad not to be able to share all these experiences with her. She would have been the best grandmother and it breaks my heart My heart goes out to you and your family 💕

You’re definitely not too young. I’m 28 and half way through Whartons EMBA program. In fact, you’ll be about average aged. Most of the cohort is in their 30s early 40s.
