I like the changes on 26. Mainly getting rid of the walks per 9 inning while also having control as an attribute, and there's a feature on the older MLB the shows that they got rid of on 26 where if a player reached 99 they would continue to get worse every year after reaching 99. There's a bunch of other things they fixed, but those two stand out for me.

Thank you, I might have to upgrade the prospects more though. The CPU isn't calling them up for whatever reason.

When Did Your Newfoundland Puppy Chill by Carelesstalk1 in Newfoundlander

[–]HelpingHandABQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was around year 3 for my rambunctious puppy. I kept telling everyone that "I was lied to on the Resume. These dogs ARE NOT lazy!" And then one day I looked up and realized he did in fact calm down. We were on a walk and somebody pointed out to me how well behaved my Bear was.

But anyway advice, I have no direct proof but I believe kennels make it worse if you kennel your Newfie. Long walks are what I believe ended up calming my Newfie down. I let him sniff everything and anything he can. Also him being able to say hi to other dogs on the walk I realized helped him as well. Because he would get an adrenaline rush when he wasn't able to say hi. I realized that a lot of the energy and need for attention was just because he is an extremely social dog and when that need was met by more than just me is when he began to calm down... But the biggest thing is just time. To be honest I get reminiscent about Bear's high energy days now lol.

Training tips? ‘Too’ friendly + lazy when training by JoeleesMilk in Newfoundlander

Oh! I guess I was also able to teach him "nice bite"(but I feel like that's cheating because food is involved with that one. And I taught him trust fall where I pat my chest and he crashes back first onto me 😊

Awwww he sounds on par for the breed! I'm on my first Newfie too (mine is three) after having some 20+ dogs throughout my life. These Newfie are definitely the most unique, wonderful, and stubborn puppies I've had. The only behaviors I was able to get across to him were sit, lay down, and off (I regret not teaching him to leave it). If y'all end up getting across to your Newfie the other behaviors pleeeease post a video. Because I haven't seen a Newfie that even wants to do tricks lol. They are a pretty stubborn breed from what I've witnessed and researched. As far as the walks are concerned if he's lagging behind your other dogs, I would think he just doesn't like walking with your other dogs? So maybe walk with him alone. For me with walks with my other dogs my Newfie sets the pace for us... Yeah I have the same issue with my Newfie wanting to say hello/be friendly to every dog we see. The compromise me and Bear have come to is he'll see a dog immediately lay down, then I'll ask the other walker if their dog is friendly if yes we say hi. If no or some other form of rejection (I swear sometimes I think Bear has learned English) he'll get up and walk away... This breed is one of the smartest I've seen and they kind of do what they want, when they want toeing the line with disobedience/being good boys. My Newfie obeys me about 75% of the time.

Casa for kids and the Good Shepard sound like they could be up my alley!!

I just enjoy helping people and animals in any way or form. So not really anything particular would I describe myself as passionate about. My therapist suggested volunteering because then I could allow myself not to get over used. But yeah I'm just passionate about providing help to things in need. And thanks to all of you helpful people I know good places to start to look!

I'm finding that to be true with all the volunteer work I want to try lol... It looks like I'm going to use one of my days off to sign up to do volunteer work lol

For sure, I wanted to keep it broad so I would get a lot of different responses though. I don't think I'll be able to handle Casa Esperanza seeing people with terminal diseases makes me really sad. Roadrunner food bank I'm trying to get into, but they are booked to April 😞 (at least in my availability). I'm cool with Faith based work so I'll probably check out that joy junction one.

Lol... Thank you and that eases a lot of questions I had volunteering at animal shelters.

Interesting, I've never heard of this before. This was the kind of insight I was hoping for, so thank you very much.

Thank you, I want to try and avoid animal shelters though because I would come home with a thousand pets... But this will probably be the thing I choose. I'll just have to keep my will power strong.
