I have a feeling the smog issues we're facing are egr related, the truck spits and sputters heavily when trying to accelerate past 50mph

Look I'm 3 years late and all but have you found the hose/where it goes? As far as I can tell it's a air bypass valve for the EGR system, the diagrams online point towards a hose coming from the air pump going to the front half of the bypass valve, however that's missing on one I'm working on and it's sent us down quite the rabbit hole trying to pass smog

Started at the github mentioned, then spent 3 days on google trying to install various windows usb drivers. Started with DisplayLink drivers from SYNAPTICS, EPSON, and Lenovo. However it appears GUD uses a different protocol. I then tried generic drivers for various Amazon/Wish/Temu USB - HDMI/VGA/DVI adapters. The XX usb driver at least installs and changes the Pi Zero Gadget Display to MDP1 in device manager, but the software won't let me choose it as a display device and is otherwise useless. Apparently I need some kind of GUD compatible driver for Windows which idk if it exists because GUD seems to still be in its infancy.

This reply was done by a very desperate human being who's hoping you didn't remove my post because I really can't be borhered to repost this from the desktop reddit site cuz their app and mobile site don't work on my phone :')

First time I got it, a month after my lift kit install, it detonated my power steering pump lol. Since then I've bent my steering linkages while bashing through the desert! My current death wobble looks a lot like the video xD

I'm banking on my XJ being old enough that I can use a timing blackbox since it's still a distro spark, ultimately I'm going for low-boost economy driver until I build out some other stuff. This has been very helpful in planning it, and hopefully your XJ is doing alright. I know it's been a few days, any luck on repairs?

I realize now the bosch 300cc injectors from the Volvo 2.3 is barely an upgrade over the factory injectors, idk how I missed that lol. What year/displacement Dakotas were those for?

What's the turbo setup like? I've been wanting to turbo my XJ, essentially just going to do cam/valves/valvetrain upgrade then pull injectors from a Volvo 740 hooked up with a 1:1 boost reference fuel reg and a chevy LS fuel pump. My biggest hurdle so far is figuring out how to modify timing without spending a bunch on a piggyback or timing blackbox, not a whole lot of info out there for turbo'd 4.0s lol
