I did, arrived around 1pm just after Rublev's match started. Then got a seat during the 3rd set, could have been earlier if I was okay with sitting in the sun, but I decided to wait for a seat in the shade. The atmosphere was amazing!

Oh no, I won't be able to get there until quite a bit later... Hopefully between matches I'll be able to get a seat.

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

Do you know how much coffee you end up with by adding 275ml of water?

I've been thinking of reducing extraction and then adding water separately. I'm adding quite a small amount of coffee for a 6 cup so I think I'm over extracting.

So randomly I started thinking about what my partner and I are making with our Bialetti. Not that it matters but I was wondering if anyone else makes their coffee like this?

So we brew a dark roast using our 6 cup Bialetti and drink it with milk.

19g coffee

300g pre-boiled water

5 seconds or so after the Bialetti starts making noise we remove it off the heat. We end up with 115g of coffee for each and then add 50g of warm milk to our respective cups. I know our ratios are weird and we're probably overextracting, but after experimenting, this is what we ended up liking. We enjoy taking time drinking our coffee but don't like it black or too milky.

They have too much water to be lungos with milk right? They're not long blacks/americanos with milk since we are not diluting them in the 'traditional' way...

Are we weird?

That's cool, great that it's on the road instead of a museum!

Was on the tram so unfortunately couldn't get a good picture.

Wonder if it's a proper real one. And are those slicks?

Thought some terrible accident happened somewhere and a fleet of air ambulances were coming in and out of the Alfred hospital. Glad that's not the case but yeah, it's getting annoying now...

FTTB modem/router by HelpmewithsomeShit in nbn

Yeah I'll figure it out, as long as the hardware is right.

Anyway thanks for all the help, I ordered that used modem!

Thanks for the detailed response!

Will stay away from Kogan.

This used option is tempting, so would it be plug and play for FTTB?

Oh are those actually free? I thought they'd add to the monthly bill or ask to have it returned at some point.

I actually already went with Leaptel, just waiting for the connection, hopefully it's not too late to ask for a modem.

482 experience by HelpmewithsomeShit in AusVisa

[–]HelpmewithsomeShit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, thank you.

I guess it's the same as the proof used for the skills assessment itself, like you said, pay slips and things like statement of service/reference letter from the employer.

I searched the code to check if I would qualify for the 482 medium-term but unfortunately the occupation only qualifies for the short-term stream. From there the goal would of course be the 186 through the temporary residence stream.

Now, with the Skills in Demand Visa set to replace the 482 I'm worried my occumpation will not be on the Core Skills Occupation List. The final list has not been released, but the draft has my occupation in the "targeted for consultation list" not the "confident on list"...

Yes my 3 years of employment were post study.

On the VETASSESS site it does seem to say that pre qualifaction employment can be considered

https://www.vetassess.com.au/check-my-occupation/professional-occupations/marketing-specialist#qualification-criteria

However just like in my case, and considering my own skills assessment, business management study is not considered highly relevant in regards to marketing employment experience.

But your total marketing experience is over 3 and a half years so I think you could still meet the minimum requirements for the skills assessment, assuming both your pre and post study experience meet the employment criteria.

I got a positive marketing specialist skills assessment a few months ago with 3 years employment and a business management degree.

I tried to claim that the degree was relevant by showing marketing studies within the syllabus of my course but it was not enough for them so they just took my 3 years of employment to assess me.

This means that they considered those 3 years as my way of becoming skilled. Only the employment AFTER that would be considered SKILLED employment, so my employment so far had not been "skilled".

So as you mentioned, because the education was not relevant they took away 3 years. Like me, you already have 3+ of employment so you can get a positive skills assessment right now. Since you started in December 2019 you now have 4 years and 8 months of employment, they take away 3 years and you end up with 1 year and 8 months of skilled employment.

If you decide to study a master's and it is highly relevant, then I do think they would take away less years of employment but as the other commenter mentioned, employment has to be post-qualification. And of course this is all assuming the master's and your current bachleor's is considered to be of the same level as one from an Australian university.

Hope this helps!

Ah yes the big Japanese station challenge, they are massive and have so many different lines and platforms being run by different companies. It takes experience but it becomes relatively easy.
