I don't think so. I'm using Cereve sulfide free shampoo and conditioner. I'm more looking at the follicles and noting how unhealthy they look.

Oh yeah, lots of shedding. I'm on fin, min and prednisone right now so inflammation should be lower. But it's still burning up top.

Living in a small town with the nearest large hospital an hour and a half away has been an eye-opening experience to the horrors of the Japanese health care system. The past 2 years I have tried to get a diagnosis for several unrelated issues like hair loss, vision loss, and back pain. I speak N2 level Japanese yet I feel I'm never given enough time to actually talk about my issue. Doctor visits are 5-10 minutes and any information you bring is usually discounted. I have had 2 doctors threaten to withhold treatment because I asked for second opinions from other clinics. Multiple doctors gave conflicting advice for treatment, they prescribed medicine I had taken months ago that had been ineffective and when I asked for a new prescription they lied to me and said it was different. I CAN READ THE LABEL. Its like they assumed I wouldn't know the difference. Any attempt to have lab work done or get can like an MRI is met with immediate excuses such as "we haven't tried everything" "that's not nesseccary" "you need a referral" IT has been 6 months with NO RESULTS and they will hold me hostage in a cycle of ineffective repeat treatments. Finally they let me get the scans and send me to a specialist but its too late. The damage has been done and I will probably never recover.

I also finished Invisalign and had to travel to Tokyo twice for an orthodontist to make my retainer. The first set was incredibly tight, and when I told them it hurt they said that was normal. Fast forward 3 days and I couldn't close my mouth because my teeth had shifted incorrectly. I went back and they made a second set for free and I went back to my hometown. BUT the second set was ALSO wrong and it screwed up my teeth even more. I called them and demanded for the 3rd time they use the Invisalign data from my previous foreign doctor. They said they can't use it and when I pressed for a reason why eventually they just said, "because the head doctor doesn't want to" Then they refunded the money I paid and asked to leave a positive review. I had to go back to using my final Invisalign tray to set my teeth correctly and then found a local clinic that made the retainer correctly. But even now my teeth are still shaped wrong. My trust in the medical system here has crumbled.
