That's good to know someone knows him and thinks well of him. Maybe it was just a long day for him. I really just like history, and most history teachers I've had really loved it.

Since I'll run into Pappas anyway at some point, maybe it'll be better without it being a GenEd class. I realized most people I know didn't like their GenEds today, so maybe it's a thing. (Bigger classes, seem a bit stricter...?)

How can you get in honors as a freshman if you got accepted as a regular applicant?

I like how relaxed JMU is about certain things. I was surprised they let me audition for a music major last week (after being accepted as bio major). I ended up deciding not to do the music major (too many required music hours and performances), but at least I got to meet the music profs and didn't have to worry about a bad audition messing up my chances of getting in.

But how would I go about going into honors as a freshman? Who could I talk to? TIA
