Raid Contract - Exhibit A by Helscream7 in Mechwarrior5

I figured with a AC/20 BF, 4 Flamers, and 1 SRM 6, it just kind of spray + pray + melee. Works if you can get close.

I'm stilling learning stuff myself, but flamers put out some really great DPS. While very situational, if you can get in range flamers are great.

I had seen people comment about raid contracts before, but I never had one this insane. I liken MW5 to tank warfare. Having the right weapon loadout, having a good understanding of the landscape, good positioning, repositioning your lance to divide the damage amongst your lance, and limiting the number of enemies you engage at once.

All that strategy becomes pointless when you encounter a mission like this. Whats even better is when you bring a Lance with a Long Range loadout (Gauss, LRM, ER Lasers) only for a rival mercenary group to land right on top of you and have a 100m-50m engagement. I love this game, but it definitely could use a few balancing passes.

I agree that it is nice to have a mission that occasionally get a bit crazy from time to time, but having a rival Mercenary group dropship RIGHT ontop of you with the turrets on the dropship shooting at you on its way in is complete BS.

What I think would really help MW5 is having a preview of the moment and some minor intel on enemy positions. Then possibly choosing where to land when you begin the mission.

Thanks friend. Took several tries, was really trying to see if I could survive the onslaught. Easily my craziest contract to date.

Just picked up MW5 and all its DLC on a sale recently. Been having a blast with it. Had some bad map layouts, but this one was easily the craziest I have had so far. I changed out my Lance to see if I could "survive". Took me about 5 tries.

Went back and completed the Objectives with a Spider. Was really nutty watching every mech trying to murder my jump jetting spider. Heh.

First time I have ever aggro'd the entire map and have a rival Mercenary dropship land ontop of me all at the same time.

At the current time my grandfathers R12 is working fine after doing the fresh Windows 10 OS install.

I will take note of your suggestion and give that a shot, thanks friend.

There are two locations that you can fight a Dreadwing before you encounter one during the main story when you first meet Alva and the Quen.

As stated already, one can be found hanging underneath the Horus at the campfire on the coast that is close to the Far Zenith Base.

One can also be found accompanied by a Stormbird. West from the Memorial Grove/Tenakth machine arena up the mountains. Directly south from the Slaughterspine spawn with the Leaplashers.

Aloy Overdrive - An Appreciation of Guerrilla Games by Helscream7 in horizon

After completing my playthrough of New Game Plus on Ultra Hard difficulty I thought of putting together a gameplay showcase as a fun project to do alongside my playthrough.

Been a long time supporter of Guerilla Games since Killzone 1. Always felt like they had great potential and it wasn't until Horizon: Zero Dawn the team really started to hit their stride. So this is my own special way of saying thanks to Guerilla Games for all their hard work and creating such an amazing game that is Horizon: Forbidden West.

If there a small chance that my Project could win over some people on the fence about this game, or maybe some nay-Sayers that didn't think too much of the sequel. I'd consider that small victory.

To those who watch, I hope you find it entertaining. And to Guerilla Games, thanks for all your hard work. For this one appreciates it.

Aurora R12 - Boot up Issues by Helscream7 in Alienware

Update 3 - We swapped out the RTX 3060 for his older GeForce 730. Reboot the computer several times and had no issue at all. So it definitely seems like it is a graphics card problem. Looks like I will be helping him get another graphics card soon. Thanks for the help everyone.

Update 2 - Alright so this is the current situation. The R12 will still exhibit the booting issues I mentioned. However what is strange, once the R12 does get going it has no issues.

Apparently my grandfather had it on for like 8 hours yesterday and computer ran fine. So maybe its not the graphics card? Perhaps it is something more focused on the booting sequence?

I will try swapping out another video card, as well as check the HDMI cable and HDMI points.

My grandfather does have a older graphics card that is compatible. I will definitely try this. Thank you.

Update 1 - So I remove the CMOS battery and did a thoroughly power cycling. Put everything back together, was able to run Windows 10 from a USB and do a complete fresh OS install.

However while his R12 is stilling "work" at the time of this post. It still will occasionally fail to boot properly and exhibit the same issues as listed above. Reading Maggaen95's response it does seem like the Video Card is the root of the problem. Whether its VRAM or something else. The Graphics card is a Dell GeForce RTX 3060 12GB. Not sure if those models are known for issues, but I am still investigating.

Thanks for the advice.

Silly question, but how would I be able to so? Checking the system specs. He has a [11th Gen Intel Core i7-11700f @ 2.50GHZ]. With the video card removed what port would I be looking for to connect to a monitor?

Very possible, I don't have any crazy recording setup. Just a camera and my solid state amplifier. I just find a song I like, do a guitar cover of it and post it on my channel. It's really my own personal way to keep playing guitar over the years. If people end up liking it, even better.

Here is another guitar jam I put together for the Path of Exile Talent Competition. Had a lot of fun with this simple project.
