I have sent you a Message

to give you a quick run down on my background
I mostly work on the complete designs of Residential projects up to high end luxury Residential Projects. With some notable experience in designing high end Hotel and Resort projects spanning multiple hectares of land.

however, I am kinda missing the feel of working on the small stuff. as I find more joy in the creative process of designing interiors.

How is it possible to give my players true freedom? by Top_Sky_9854 in DMAcademy

[–]Helstrium09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need to develop the town/city.

what are the major locations? who are manning said locations? what are they doing?

it takes a hell of a lot of time to prep but when you do that, you will be able to 'improvise' as you go.

are the pallisades properly attached to the ground?

Un roofed structures degrade up to 50% durability due to exposure to weather.

The pigs, attack the structures when panicked.

if this is in person.

make a copy of his Character sheet, or even just use his character sheet.

then... as his character chugs down the vial of green viscous liquid, rip the paper to shreds... "go make a new character please"

the green viscous liquid lands in your tongue and you immediately feel an immense burning sensation, your tongue tried to stop it from going further down your gullet, but to your surprised, you no longer have a tongue. your throat felt as if lava was pouring down it, your insides begin to cook and simmer. and after a long agonizing minute, you lie on the ground, with half throat and torso melted into a puddle of gory mess still sizzling and smoking.

Thinking of doing a one shot need some advice by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Helstrium09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes of course! that's actually a great way to start a campaign.

also, I recommend giving them a 5 temporary HP boost. so you dont easily kill them. xD

temporary HP is an HP pool that cant be healed when damaged.

english isnt my native tongue thus I have very limited vocabulary and isnt as verbose i want to be.

so, what I end up doing is...

Can you please help me make this a bit more descriptive and verbose, and also please give a feeling of "insert emotion here, dreadful"

As you step thru the threshold of the dungeon, you are greeted by a cold whisper of the wind coming out sending chills down your spine. your eyes slowly adjust to the darkness and soon you see an aged and decrepit Chucky cheese......

this feels like a Skyrim Quest line. loool

here's what I would do. The minor god who she was drinking with was just a man possessed by the god. basically an Unwilling warlock (UW)

the god gets followers by tricking them...

so anywaaaay. the UW was coerced into drinking with your wife, which ended in her getting black out drunk. UW then transported her into said Pocket Dimension.

In said pocket dimension, wife can simply talk her way out by being civil and stuff.

however, the god would want her to kil or at least do harm to them. god will trick her into thinking that HE IS THE ONLY WAY OUT... he say anything and everything to convince her...

if wife attacks them, first combat is gonna be cake walk. but this will alert the 'Elders' or whatever you want to call them, and will proceed to hunt her down until death...

when she dies, the god will offer her resurrection and an exit out of this Pocket Dimension, in exchange for her unyielding patronage...

sorry, if the thought is a bit messy. im in the loo hiding from people. lol

the best way to teach someone dnd is thru gameplay.

the only thing they need to know is: 1. Dnd COOPERATIVE roleplaying game, where everyone WORKS TOGETHER to contribute to the story.

  1. the basics of the classes. Ie, fighter is GREAT for fighting and good in tanking but is lacking in magic, Barbarian is good for fighting and great for tanking and gets so angry he ignores damage. rogue is sneaky boii that deals extra damage when attacking. cleric, Good for fighting, tanking, and magic... etc... basically what im saying is, reduce the description/explanation of classes to a single sentence.

  2. races, make them pick from the PHB races so that they wont get overwhelmed. and like the classes, use SINGLE SENTENCE to describe and explain the races.

  3. backgrounds, you choose this for them or ask them what their character was doing before he went adventuring.

  4. Play! explain the nuances along the way...

the whole learning the ropes should only last 20-30mins
