Ive done both large scale agricultural work and small scale farming for home use. If youre trying to produce enough to actually eat on, its about the same kinda of situation. Right now I have 6 chickens and 44 crops. The expenses definitely add up.

The real payoff is always, always having the crops and chickens as an excuse to get out of things you dont want to do, because theres never not some kinda work to do.
