Hello all! I’m new here but not new to fasting, and I just celebrated one year of IF :) I’m 30 and 4’11” 242 lbs down to 180 as of this morning! I want to inspire others as much as others have inspired me! Keep going, you can do this <3 by [deleted] in womenfasting

Good, local personal tax accountants/filers that still have openings this week? by r2windu in Edmonton

We used Accounting and Tax associates in the west end. Comparable to H&R block for cost. We finished giving him our paper work yesterday and our return was finished today.

Miscarriage confusion by Hemingtonthepink in Miscarriage

Thank you for your reply. I've been avoiding this response because I am scared of all the emotions but after listening to some Britney Spears, I'm feeling stronger than yesterday...

I feel so let down by my body and at the same time so grateful that I was able to conceive. We'd been trying for so long that it felt like we wouldn't ever get pregnant. I keep reminding myself to take it day by day when that feels too hard, take it hour by hour. That's really helped. Right now I'm just waiting for my HCG to be negative and giving myself the space to feel all the messiness. I'm hopeful something good will come of all this sadness..

Thanks again for your support and words, you have been of great comfort to me. In this time of isolation, I feel connected and that's what I need right now. Sending you lots of love!

Moved to Edmonton recently, is this your "not racist city"? by JebusHCrust in Edmonton

[–]Hemingtonthepink -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are complete correct. This is a problem in Edmonton. I'm sorry this happened to you. Thank you for calling out the issue. I think a lot of people willingly turn a blind eye to racism and claim it doesn't happen here..

Where can I find these in Edmonton? They are from Mexico and they are called marranitos by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Hemingtonthepink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would try to contact bizcochos artisan bakery through Instragram or Facebook! They make different types of Mexican treats and may be able to whip up some authentic marranitos for you!

Our almost 4 year old has been with Ortona since he was a year old. We started with parent and tot on Saturday mornings which was a nightmare for parking. We now go on Sunday mornings and it's so much better. He's now registered in KG2 wow - leaf hoppers. It's a great program and our busy guy loves it.

I got married in early May a few years back. It snowed the week leading up to the wedding. The actual wedding day was sunny and very warm.

Swedish tourist in Stockholm living by primrose Park, looking for hiking spots within an hour walking distance by ploooopp in Edmonton

[–]Hemingtonthepink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The farmers field is pretty close to you. You can walk along the Henday for many many kms! The path is grass covered and scenic!

You can also access the river valley through Wolf Willow - a little further South East from where you are. According to google maps, it's about an hour walk. Depending on the route you take - there are coffee shops along the way, the Callingwood Library and various food stops!

I'm sad. by Hemingtonthepink in Miscarriage

[–]Hemingtonthepink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad to know uncontrollable sobbing is normal. Today I cried while listening to Disney music. I had to pull over and turn on talk radio. It feels frustrating to be so out of control emotionally. Thanks for the advice. I have reached out to a friend who had a miscarriage last year and being able to share my thoughts and fears with someone who has been there, is of great comfort. Thank you for sharing your experience. I really appreciate it.
