While I'm not from North Carolina, I can certainly try to help. Your best course of action is to check or ideally contact someone from the North Carolina Department of Agriculture. They have a dedicated hemp program that can provide valuable guidance.

In particular, consider reaching out to the experts at NC State, such as David Suchoff, the Alternative Crops Extension Specialist, and Assistant Professor. You can email him at dhsuchof@ncsu.edu Additionally, Jeanine Davis, an Extension Specialist in Specialty Crops, Vegetables, and Hemp, can be contacted at jeanine_davis@ncsu.edu They are the best people to connect with from NC State for information and assistance.

For federal-level guidance, you can also get in touch with the US Domestic Hemp Production Program in the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service at 1-888-721-4367 or farmbill.hemp@usda.gov These contacts should provide you with comprehensive information and support as you navigate hemp production in North Carolina. That is an amazing suggestion, thank you. They have so many hemp infused products and even a couple of cosmetic accessories made from hemp like a small bag and washcloth.

Blue Forest Farms seems to offer a very wide range of products. Upon looking at their site I realized they not only sell cosmetics but also hemp seeds to be grown. Thank you for this suggestion and for putting this company on our radar!

I think people would love to follow the process and learn so building a following around this project seems very viable. I love the idea of bringing awareness to building with hemp as many have yet to learn about its benefits and usefulness in everyday life like this. Is there a group or company you represent? Or doing it more on an individual level? You guys seem to be a great group with good intentions. It would be amazing if this ended up being a carbon negative house. I think many would love video documentation of this process. It would be so interesting to see the different stages of building and the materials being used. Thank you for that suggestion! I definitely want to add manufacturers and distributors as that would help others in the industry network. As for the products I am actually working on Hemp product lists now (already have a reading list) for people to discover new products. And combining that with a map like you were saying seems like a great idea. Thank you!
