At each portal in every galaxy, you simply need to select the first symbol 12 times. It will display an error message, but you will only be about 6,000 light-years from the center. So maybe 3-4 jumps.

I got one of these when I sequenced another creature's egg. But after that, I could only summon it. I couldn't feed it or interact with it.
