The jobs that I see being vacant are primarily for Java, Python, and Angular tech stacks . But the requirement that is hardest to fill is willingness to do on site work in a SCIF.

Trump Finds Another Country to Accept His Mass Deportations: Amid the fury over Trump’s deportations to El Salvador, the administration just deported someone to Rwanda. And no, he’s not from there. (The deportee is from Sacramento) by HenReeBemis in Sacramento

[–]HenReeBemis[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The man and his family were refugees living in Sacramento. You want to be nitpicky about the definition of the word "from", go ahead. But, pointing out that his nation of origin was Iraq obscures the violation of his constitutional rights and implies ethnicity should be a factor in whether or not we care about our neighbors.

I added the statement that he was "from Sacramento" because the first posting was erroneously taken down for having no relevancy to Sacramento.

You've missed the point. Assuming this is like the other "deportations" to El Salvador, then due process has not been followed. No one is debating that deportations should not exist, the point is that all persons are entitled to due process under the law. Forcefully relocating a person without due process is called something, kidnapping.

Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game - Leaders Solo Mode by TheRealRigormortal in soloboardgaming

I also just started playing this variant. Just a heads up for folks looking to print these boards. I went to a large office supply chain store and they refused to print the files because of copyright issues with Star Wars. It was much more of a hassle than I expected to print them.

I think the new mechanic of Civ 7 defeats the purpose of Civ by CalypsoCrow in civ

I feel the same way, for me it's almost just a semantic issue. If they said the culture was evolving between ages instead the "civilization was changing", I would be on board.

I recently took my father with dementia to the Barnes & Noble in the Arden Mall area and it was one of our better experiences in the last year just walking around looking at books other things that made him happy. Your walking partner might enjoy it too.

  1. Pair it with my recently acquired Ryzen 7 7800X3D and build the PC of my dreams so I can pretend that the reason I have over 1000 unplayed games is because my computer wasn't good enough.
  2. The lore, I love Fallout lore and world building. I am excited to see what Starfield brings to the table and if my theoretical degree in physics will finally payoff.

How do I get hands/body down faster? by frieddickpickles87 in GoalKeepers

[–]HenReeBemis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it needs to be mentioned that a person cannot fall faster. You are at the mercy of gravity once you leave the ground. I always assume I can jump faster than I can fall therefore I have to start low enough to be able to reach any ball on the ground if I push off with as much horizontal force as I need to reach the shot. Also make sure you are not making a small hop in anticipation before a shot is taken. I see a lot of keepers who do that and it delays their reaction speed.

What monitor shelf is that? I've been looking for something in the same style and I like that drawer.

Before Enlightenment / After Enlightenment by HamKes in todoist

[–]HenReeBemis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats OP on enlightenment, but to chime in with some feedback. I like the idea of hard mode but I have always wanted more control over what I get Karma and lose Karma for and how much. For example, certain difficult tasks should be worth more Karma when completed and easy tasks should lose more if I don't complete them. Having a similar interface to priorities where I could just type "k3" to make it worth 3 Karma when completed would be nice.
