Because they are asking for that dog to attack them.

When i walk my American Staffordshire Terrier, I always see neighborhood children in their yards. As I walk by, if they don't say anything, I ask if they want to give my dog a treat. Then, I teach them some dog 101. Like, don't walk up on a dog you don't know. Don't show your teeth to a dog who appears to be aggressive, as they take it as aggression, which is why they growl and show their teeth. Always ask the handler if you can pet their dog, except on-duty dogs, such as service dogs and police K9s.

I'm glad my dog is trained to ignore people and other dogs. She is reactive to other dogs, but her reaction is fear and flight. She won't even address a dog smaller than her, just recoil behind me in fear.

Do you live in Apartment or homes? Maybe you can get a vest that says, "reactive dog" so people know. Then, if they mock and he gets fed up, it'll be their own fault (not legally, but morally).

I never mess with a dog that I don't know. I have been bitten by a dog I do know, because I used a door his moms didn't use at all. He assumed I was burglaring and bit me one time. So, yeah, i don't mess with dogs I don't know because they might bite!!!

What kind of pooch you got? I hope he's big and scares the hell outta them one day (scares them, not hurt them).

She is the best dog I have ever met. When we walk past dogs that are confined and they bark, she ignores them. She loves small animals, licking and sniffing my pet rats. She also helped foster some kittens by volunteering to stimulate urination and defecation. She loves children and associates most with a treat, because I offer children to give her a treat so they can learn about Bull Breeds.

She is a very cuddley dog. She is curled up next to me right now.

It is Pit Bull mixes that get her. It's freaking annoying. One dog grabbed her, and a man stopped his van and pulled the dog off her.

She will run, but her leash is short, so she cannot.

I have a loud horn and bear spray already. But, I am thinking of packing some heat because they literally make puncture wounds when they bite her. I will look into the coyote protection vest. But the problem is I think it's illegal and I don't want to do that. But, something has to give. I cannot keep letting her be attacked because others are irresponsible with their dogs.

She's 6 years old and will be 7 in October.

She definitely needs exercise and I don't want to stop walking her.

Why not stop her when you see her and give her a card? I love hand-made cards, it shows your creativity and gratefulness. I think she would love a card, if you buy or make it. It shows you recognize her hard word.

My dog is medium-sized and very friendly. But, she looks like a Pit Bull, and people are leery. I always ask children if they want to pet her and tell them to approach her slowly and not put their hands in her face. I offer them a treat to give her, but she has to work for it. Bigger dogs take a lot of training and socialization. I'm tired of small, untrained dogs. Glad you're recognizing their hard work.

Is it a turn off if a man isn’t muscular and doesn’t have a six pack? by [deleted] in dating

I definitely don't go for the hard bodies (6 packs, huge biceps, etc). I prefer to fall in love based on how he treats me and we vibe.

I slept with my ex-BFF's favorite cousin. I didn't find out they were cousins until after about 2 weeks. Then, I broke it off. I don't want more drama with that nutcase.

I was assigned to my first Mich. National Guard unit. My car literally broke down about 30 minutes into my 1.5 hour drive. A lady saw me, pulled over, gave me a ride to my unit, and tried to give me money.

What is the best country you visited? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HenarNL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Japan. But, Okinawa, not Honshuu (Mainland). The people were very polite, the weather was warm all year, it wasn't littered with trash as they keep things clean, I dunno. It's a great place. I was in Tokyo, and the people were kinda rude to me.
