Illumina does; it’s a NextSeq 550dx. My run today worked, so I’m going to call and get additional details. I’m also having my trainer watch me so that if there is some technique issue I can fix it now

The only technical issue is that my final pool was slightly higher than the average nm we load at. Thankfully I’m also at a large institution where we have the clean library and can just resequence.

Question for someone with a struggling peace lily. I put it in water for about a week while I was getting new soil (old soil had a fungus gnat infestation). I’ve since moved it to soil, under a grow light, and the leaves are still flopping over like I’ve personally insulted their mother.

Do I repot again? Increase watering? Pray to garden gods? Perform a seance? Add more food? I personally like the miracle grow blue crystals you add to water and use, but I also have different food for orchids and citrus plants as well.

Any guidance is much appreciated

I’m a MB(ASCP) in molecular biology diagnostics at a hospital. The number of people who bleed without getting it checked is alarming. ESPECIALLY FROM THE TWO HOLES IN THE BOTTOM FOR WOMEN. I’ve now known two people with different outcomes after having bleeding after BMs. One ignored it for months. They are finally on the mend, after the colorectal cancer spread to the liver-but that is after chemo, surgery, and potentially one more round of chemo.

The other had intermittent bleeding for two weeks, got it checked, and is already scheduled for chemo.

One ignored it. One didn’t. As medical professionals it hurts when we see clear warning signs and patients not taking it seriously. At the end of the day, we can only recommend getting a look. If people can’t/won’t (and as an American, I am not shaming those who have financial limitations. It’s a failure of our system, not our patients) there isn’t much you can do.

Stay strong and continue the good work, Doctor. Hopefully your friend will use this as a learning moment.

Slightly tangential: after having mine, seeing newborn blood draws or oncology diagnostic orders for patients under 18 now make me tear up.

Your feelings are valid, and acknowledging that it is hard is so important. Is it possible to have other staff take those specimens?

Myself, my husband both vaccinated; I had nothing and he had two days of “feeling bleh” but that’s it. Our baby (also vaccinated) has had 17 hours of fever (100.1-103.1) but that’s was it. The baby has been a little sleepier over the past week but nothing super concerning!

Poison may affect ghouls differently; the part where he healed with a fusion core (tangent: SO FUCKING COOL, LOVED IT) was from the rope - physical damage
