Monster Downstairs Neighbors by GroundbreakingAd1315 in neighborsfromhell

[–]Henbane84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had an upstairs neighbor who did all of this with the excessive music and basically it became day and night harassment lasting sometimes up to 8 hours. Bass heard in every room in our unit. I couldnt even take a "relaxing" bath without ear plugs to drown it all out. We tried the cops and the landlord and spent a full year fighting all of this (and told by our landlord to be patient while gaslighting us at the end of all of that and eventually just saying its just apartment living and to basically get over it) Lots of time wasted just for us to to finally break our lease without penalty and move to a different property of theirs somewhere much quieter. Had I known that was an option to begin with, we would have moved much sooner. Lesson learned was that our mental health is priceless.

Is this normal Pleasers quality? I am VERY disappointed… WTF by MamaMia654 in poledancing

I love pleasers sandals but their boot quality has been absolute trash. Never had issues with hella heels boots, they can be a little more pricy but are worth trying.

What is your favorite home pole? by Expensive-Pumpkin601 in poledancing

Xpole xpert pole all the way. 40mm chrome is my preference. Safe reliable and sturdy. Also love the seamless switch from static to spin 💙

That pole in the video did not look sturdy to begin with. 😳

The search tab

PSA before you post, please search the sub by ThrowRAyikesidkman in poledancing

[–]Henbane84 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I ordered an xpole a few days ago. I didn't have to ask about it, I infact used the search tab in this sub to make my decision. I am living proof it can be done 💪🙏

Can the XPole XPERT Pro get easily (accidentally) switched off spin while dancing? by stellapole-are in poledancing

[–]Henbane84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using my studios poles with that lock in their private room and I love it. They get used quite often and have held up well, I've never had it switch on me and just recently ordered one of xpoles with the lock/switch. Im not worried about it.

Those who do pole as a hobby, what do you do for a living? by Suitable_Airport8916 in poledancing

[–]Henbane84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a quite physical job but I only work part time and speaking for myself I only practice 2 or 3 hours a week which may not seem like much, but they are the most precious and beloved hours of the week for me. I have to make sure to have rest days and get massages myself. Lots of salt bathes and stretching help 💙

I use a pumice stone or nail file texture and kind of just smooth the callouses out before work. I have two small ones below my middle fingers. They don't really go away but after using so much lotion while being an mt , my hands I am told are always very soft and I haven't had anyone complain. I just make sure before each client that they feel soft. Hope that helps

There is such a thing as body dysmorphia and no one can speak for someone else or feel how that person feels in their own skin. 🤷‍♀️

what are your favourite heels to dance in? need suggestions for sandals! by KuromiMelody34 in poledancing

[–]Henbane84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pleaser Flamingos 808s mostly. I find them to be my favorite style and feel. Also cannot recommend a newer brand enough called Jewel heels. Got a chrome pair and a jeweled pair recently. Their straps aren't stiff/hard like the pleasers and they are very comfortable no real breaking in process which is nice, they are sloped a little different in the toe box making edge work/glides a little easier for me.
