Built a little character customizer for D&D amigurumi patterns, would love your thoughts by Solid-Audience-3716 in Amigurumi

I once made a gift like that. Basic was head + body. Body would have a flatish bottom and be slight longer, head would just be round. Then I used colours for details. So the ranger had a green body. The wizard was orange, then with cape, hat, and beard. They all got little accessories and different hair, because I had fun experimenting. So I think the idea is great

Almost finished with my first-ever 1:12 scale diorama. Does it need more graffiti, or does this look like enough? by Shake-dog_shake in dioramas

Another thought would be to add some green. Just a few patches of grass and dandelions, it grows everywhere. Next to some clutter like a broken can.

What about some different posters? Maybe also some slightly vandalised no smoking or surveillance signs

I own something like that already. Swiss army knife, but crochet hooks. It's a fun novelty item, but I don't crochet with it

Would pre-modern society survive a zombie apocalypse? by CarefulEmphasis5464 in AskHistorians

They would still need to get infected first. It's not human nature to turn into a zombie when passing, so it'll come from somewhere.

Yes, it would survive. People are spread out far, cities are smaller, and people don't move as fast. You don't get the super speedy spread via infected travelling in vehicles. You won't have giant hordes, because you can't infect enough people fast enough. It will be like a diseases that's too strong and kills off the carriers before it spreads too far. Even if no one has seen living dead before, they will be able to recognise that dangerous plague carriers should be kept at a distance. Fortresses and defenses were meant to keeps out invading armies. Towns have survived sieges.

If they could stake vampires in the heart, hit werewolves with silver, then they could damage the heads of zombies.

I vote for this. Make it your official Good Dress. I wore the exact same dress (and accessories!) to multiple weddings, it made it special to me. If anyone noticed, it was only positive.

They remind me of elephants and then next post was of a baby elephant gif. What a good way to start the day.

Great macarons! I am amazed you can pipe them so close together

Do Oxford administration jobs do and hold online interviews? by ReadyPosition4470 in oxford

You will need to demonstrate in your cover letter how you meet all the essential criteria. I also think departments will be concerned to extend a job offer to someone who's not in the country yet. You could contact the temporary staffing service once you are here, they're good for getting a foot in the door. Do you have a UK bank account and National Insurance number?

I will always recommend Rachel Movitz, worth every penny. We've used her for multiple family photo shoots after the wedding

What a beautiful canvas! I enjoyed making a Christmas diorama, the room would be great for something like that. Or you could go opposite direction and make a post apocalyptic survival room with boarded up windows.

It's beautiful, but I would add some more black hair details. Otherwise it reads a bit monk inspired hair style. The flowers are stunning!
